From October 2006 through September 2008, Winrock International and partners International Development Enterprises and the Institute for Governance and Development implemented the Conflict Reconciliation and Reduction in Nepal (CRRN) program. The program aimed to reduce conflict in Nepal by improving governance and generating equitable economic opportunities.
The Feed the Future Asia Innovative Farmers Activity (AIFA) is a regional project transforming the lives of farmers by developing and supporting a regional technology ecosystem that fosters new technology, partnerships, and innovative practices in South and Southeast Asia with a focus on Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Nepal. The project aims to build a diverse regional agricultural innovation community that can test, adapt, and share the latest practices and technologies with smallholder farmers in the region.

Cold Chain Bangladesh Alliance (CCBA) was a Global Development Alliance (GDA), USAID’s model for public-private partnerships. It served as a pilot project aiming to establish Bangladesh first integrated cold chain to reduce postharvest losses and deliver high-value agricultural products to market.
Los objetivos del presente trabajo fueron: implementar actividades participativas con enfoque de género, que permitieran el desarrollo de la mujer dentro de los contextos agrícolas en estudio; generar capacidades y utilizar habilidades ya existentes en estas, que permitieran su incorporación a las labores productivas y con ello a la obtención de nuevas fuentes de ingresos familiares y el mejoramiento de la alimentación, así como potenciar de manera general, una mayor participación e impacto femenino en el funcionamiento de la comunidad.

The project works with a range of agricultural technology stakeholders on a regional basis (private sector, research institutions, governments, networks, etc.) to increase food security, reduce poverty, and improve environmental sustainability by facilitating agricultural innovation and technology diffusion in the Asia region.

El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar, a través de un estudio de caso, la utilidad de incorporar en la práctica de los proyectos la definición y evaluación participativa de las metas, para conocer las percepciones de la diversidad de actores que conforman los espacios locales, identificar posibles alianzas y armonizar intereses y resultados esperados en las estrategias de desarrollo con enfoque de género
En este artículo se presenta y discute la información fruto de los talleres realizados durante el 2007 y 2008 en los Centros Locales de Innovación Agropecuaria (CLIA), con la participación de productores y otros actores locales en nueve provincias del occidente, centro y oriente cubano. Se muestra el caso del CLIA Las Tunas.
