Tool 9 provides general information and examples on the latest developments, uses and applications in the area of food biotechnology, and it focuses on genome (or gene) editing. It also provides examples that could help users of this toolkit to explain genome editing, the difference between genetic modification and genome editing and the potential benefits of these new technologies. In addition, it supports users to highlight possible research and development activities ongoing in their own country.
Le présent rapport concerne l’évaluation finale du projet «Intégration de la résilience climatique dans la production agricole et pastorale pour la sécurité alimentaire dans les zones rurales vulnérables à travers l’approche des champs-écoles des producteurs» (GCP/NER/043/LDF) financé par le Fonds pour l’environnement mondial (FEM) et exécuté conjointement par l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture (FAO) et le Gouvernement du Niger de 2015 à 2021.
La FAO a adopté une approche multidimensionnelle pour aider les exploitants familiaux pauvres à faire face aux difficultés qu’ils rencontrent au quotidien et renforcer leur capacité de création de revenus, afin de réduire la pauvreté rurale.
Les pays investissent une grande partie de leur budget de renforcement des capacités dans l'apprentissage et la formation. Quelles mesures faudrait-il prendre pour s'assurer que ces investissements donnent des résultats utiles ? Le cycle de gestion de l'apprentissage élaboré par la FAO donne des précisions sur les étapes à suivre pour créer des activités d'apprentissage efficaces. La présente note d'information met en lumière les éléments principaux de ce processus et fournit des liens vers les outils et le matériel d'orientation.

This publication “School feeding and possibilities for direct purchases from family farming in Latin American countries” contributes to the articulation of the sectors involved with school feeding, in the search for alternatives for the institutionalization and strengthening of school feeding policies in the countries; it is also hoped that in the medium and long term SFPs can contribute to the human right to food (HRF) and to sustainable human development.
