AFINET is one of the seventeen thematic networks that the European Union has financed under the H2020 framework and it is supervised by the EIP-Agri in order to foster innovation in Europe. The main topic of AFINET is agroforestry a practice of deliberately integrating woody vegetation with crops and/or animal systems and the promotion of this practice to foster climate changes. AFINET follows a multi-actor approach linked to the nine Regional Innovations Networks created to identify main challenges and develop main innovations about agroforestry.
El modelo de Agencias de Gestión de la Innovación para el Desarrollo de Proveedores (AGI-DP) se diseñó e implementó con extensionistas rurales desde el año 2009 y hasta el 2014. Permite llevar a la práctica la selección, capacitación, desarrollo, seguimiento y evaluación de equipos técnicos especializados en extensionismo en red.
El presente documento sistematiza una experiencia exitosa reconstruyendo la acción colectiva que se propició para la generación, desarrollo y difusión de dicho concepto de innovación y aplicando la perspectiva de sistemas de innovación para identifi car las etapas de la misma.

Con este objetivo, dieciséis participantes de las diferentes áreas involucradas en la cadena productiva agropecuaria de la región de América Central y México compartieron sus experiencias e identificaron acciones y actores clave en el Seminario-Taller. A lo largo de tres días se conocieron diversas iniciativas que permitieron formular nuevos retos y conclusiones en torno a la cadena productiva.
Este texto presenta un recuento de los logros alcanzados mediante un conjunto de políticas públicas que se han aplicado a lo largo del tiempo en la Argentina, muchas de las cuales se continúan y coordinan en el marco del Programa Agricultura Inteligente. Esas políticas han permitido encontrar respuestas a preocupaciones como el aumento de la productividad, los efectos del cambio climático, el uso adecuado de los recursos fundamentales del agua y la tierra y la menor utilización de energías altamente contaminantes, entre otras.
The purposes of this course are to review the major reforms being considered internationally that aim to change the policy and institutional structure and operations of public sector agricultural extension systems, and to examine the advantages and disadvantages of each of these reforms as illustrated by the selected case studies. Aside from the introductory chapter, the course is organized into nine modules, which are conceived as part of a larger framework.

The paper is structured as follows: • Section 2 describes diverse perspectives on food security that emphasize global supply chains to feed middle-class populations in cities; smallholder farmers who still supply much of the world; and smallholder farmers who are relatively disengaged in commercial markets.
