The objectives of this study were 1) to describe farming systems in Zoghmar community at Sidi Bouzid site; 2) analyze the existing lamb production chain and 3) develop potential technical and organizational pathways to better respond to farmers and consumers needs. A total of 120 surveys was conducted in Sidi Bouzid region including sheep owners, butchers and consumers. The project initiated the formation of a farmers association at Zoghmar community to establish a transparent lamb production chain.
Este estudio fue hecho con el objetivo de examinar el proceso de planificación estratégica y la priorización de proyectos de investigación en una unidad de Embrapa. Así es que utiliza búsqueda exploratoria y descriptiva, con técnicas de investigación bibliográfica, análisis documental y encuestas estructuradas. Los resultados apuntan a la existencia de un plan estratégico hecho con la elaboración de escenarios y con identificación de oportunidades y amenazas a la institución en sus diversas esferas de especialización
Theoretically, improved food security can be achieved through (a) increased availability – by extending staple food production area, higher productivity, good post harvesting practices; (b) enhanced access – as a result of more stable prices, improved farmer income, or even rural income; and (c) increased stability - through improved and sustained competitive advantage of the member firms, which eventually contribute to sustainable industry including in agriculture.
El presente documento tiene por objetivo plantear sobre la base de la descripción de la cadena productiva, desde la recolección del fruto hasta la comercialización de sus productos alimentarios y no alimentarios, sus relaciones con otras actividades y productos en la canasta de bienes complejos territorializados.

Under the guidance of the agricultural system theory, operational research theory and decision-making support system theory, the regional agricultural development decision support system (RADDSS) was developed in this study ,in which different analysis method and models was integrated. By providing data, right models and analysis methods, RADDSS can assist decision-makers and administrators to solve half-structured and unstructured problems, improving level of management on agriculture. The agriculture in Xuchang has been analyzed using the system constructed in this study.
China is at a critical stage of transformation from traditional to modern agriculture and its agriculture and rural economic sector faces severe challenges of shortage of natural resources, environmental degradation, agricultural disasters, sluggish income growth of farmers and widening disparity between urban and rural areas. This paper presents a qualitative case study of a US based beef co-operative integrated to a VBSC. Was used an analytical framework of viability, sustainability and resilience to analyse impacts at farm-level. Our analysis highlights a number of positive effects on farm-level viability, sustainability and resilience including improvements to market orientation and price stability, among others which provide crucial insights for beef PO development in Ireland.
