El presente documento tiene por finalidad sistematizar y difundir las actividades realizadas en el municipio Yacapaní del departamento Santa Cruz en Bolivia, en el marco del Plan Nacional de CpD para Bolivia del proyecto ICDS Bolivia (MDRyT-INIAF-FAO). Esta fue la primera área piloto en la que la ICDS Bolivia inició sus actividades en el nivel local, las cuales se llevaron a cabo en tres etapas. La primera fue una etapa exploratoria mediante un diagnóstico participativo sobre necesidades y oportunidades en comunicación para la innovación y el desarrollo rural.

L’évaluation participative repose sur le principe d’une participation active des principales parties prenantes (dont les groupes les moins organisés) à l’exercice d’évaluation. There was a need for change in agricultural development in Angola, and CDAIS has been appreciated. Results show positive outcomes in a number of areas, including the acceptance of the benefits of strengthening functional capacities across different levels. And, although it is still too early to see the full benefits of the approach, many involved said they would continue to apply it in their other activities. This story begins with views and experiences from rice growers and their partners, as an example of one of the three innovation niche partnerships in Angola.
Agriculture provides the principle source of livelihood for more than 80% of its 170 million people, and is the backbone of the Bangladesh economy. The government acknowledges this in its strategy to 2041, with investment in research and extension. CDAIS began in 2015. At the outset, however, the need to also invest in strengthening functional capacities was not recognised by those used to the ‘traditional’ technology transfer model.
Results in Ethiopia show positive outcomes from CDAIS activities, proving the benefits of integrating functional capacity strengthening across individual, partnership, organisational and national levels. Common to all these levels are

It examines who rural youth are, where they live, and the multiple constraints they face in their journey from dependence to independence. A distinguishing feature of this report is that it examines rural development in the context of the transformation of rural areas and the wider economy. Opportunities for young women and men begin with a transformation towards a dynamic rural economy.
