El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar las causas de la baja apropiación de las tecnologías para la renovación de cafetales en este municipio de Cundinamarca. Desde el punto de vista metodológico se escogió el enfoque sistémico, el método de análisis fue el descriptivo cualitativo y la identificación de información se hizo de fuentes secundarias y primarias mediante observación y entrevistas a extensionistas y caficultores cuyas fincas tuviesen lotes de café tradicional y tecnificado.

The report builds on the 'towards a vision for agricultural innovation in Chile in 2030' report and is further based on a series of background papers and a consultation process that took place between December 2010 and May 2011. The current study is the third in a series of three that were agreed between the Government of Chile and the World Bank to support the development of a long-term agricultural innovation strategy. The Livestock and Irrigation Value Chains for Ethiopian Smallholders (LIVES) project supports the efforts of the GoE to transform the smallholder agriculture sector to a more market-oriented sector. LIVES uses a value chain framework to develop targeted livestock and irrigated agriculture commodities through integrated technical and institutional innovations. Such a framework recognizes that value chain actors add value at different stages of the value chain and that individuals and organizations provide inputs and services to the value chain actors.

The Papa Andina network employs collective action in two novel approaches for fostering market chain innovation.
