Dans le besoin urgent de lutter contre le changement climatique, une priorité essentielle est de renforcer la capacité de ces groupes et communautés les plus vulnérables, et déjà fortement affectés, à améliorer leur capacité à adapter leurs systèmes de subsistance.
In theory, under the federal structure agricultural extension services can serve communities better as it aims to be client responsive and accountable to its consumers at the village level. However, poor understanding of federalism that has only recently emerged from the persisting centralized and feudal conceptions, limited practices of democratic norms and values primarily due to the lack of understanding of local governance, and limited commitment of political actors and policy makers to federalism, may derail the good intentions behind federalism.
En esta sección se retrata como se hace y vive la agroecología en un contexto campesino rural. Desde una comunidad en las Lomas del Escambray (prov. Villa Clara) se intenta transmitir el corazón y la energía de la agroecología en Cuba, a la vez que mostrar el funcionamiento del MACAC, las prácticas cotidianas y las reflexiones de los/as protagonistas.
Promover, apoyar y colaborar con el pequeño productor para incentivar su acceso a los mercados. Con este objetivo, dieciséis participantes de las diferentes áreas involucradas en la cadena productiva agropecuaria de la región de América Central y México compartieron sus experiencias e identificaron acciones y actores clave en el Seminario-Taller. A lo largo de tres días se conocieron diversas iniciativas que permitieron formular nuevos retos y conclusiones en torno a la cadena productiva.
Este texto presenta un recuento de los logros alcanzados mediante un conjunto de políticas públicas que se han aplicado a lo largo del tiempo en la Argentina, muchas de las cuales se continúan y coordinan en el marco del Programa Agricultura Inteligente. Esas políticas han permitido encontrar respuestas a preocupaciones como el aumento de la productividad, los efectos del cambio climático, el uso adecuado de los recursos fundamentales del agua y la tierra y la menor utilización de energías altamente contaminantes, entre otras.
This briefing paper aims to raise debate about agricultural information management (AIM) in the CORAF region. It draws attention to initiatives concerned with AIM and sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) from global to local levels. Using these examples, we pose questions as to what AIM is, highlight some key dilemmas, and some promising initiatives that may provide inspiration for debate about information in development. This paper relates the European Innovation Partnerships (EIP) to be implemented by Operational Groups (OGs) in Basilicata. New relationships and regeneration produced a “bio-economic Cluster”, creating “smart” specialization and a system linking research, innovation and the enterprise world. The Cluster consolidated competence and knowledge in small and medium enterprises, including agriculture and forest farms and encouraged the dissemination and implementation of innovative products and processes.
