Este libro describe el proyecto Cadenas de Valor 2.0 - Promoviendo la Gestión del Conocimiento para el Desarrollo de Cadenas de Valor Inclusivas y Sostenibles. El libro también trae estudios de caso detallados a respecto de Cadenas evaluados por el proyecto, tales como: la cadena del café, la cadena de hortalizas, la cadena del frijól y la cadena de la miel.
En este libro se exhibe el caso del Perú, con la expectativa de proporcionar la información y análisis necesarios para tener una mejor comprensión de la situación económica actual del maíz, así como los principales factores que han contribuido y siguen contribuyendo a la evolución de su producción, consumo y comercio. El diagnóstico presentado es el resultado del relevamiento de información secundaria (documentación y estadísticas existentes) y primaria, producto de entrevistas personales y telefónicas a los principales actores de la cadena.
This guidebook is meant to help facilitators. Its purpose is to empower organizations with the tools and the skills needed to identify practices which can be brought to scale, to describe and analyze them in detail, and to share the lessons they teach. More specifically, this project aimed to facilitate the adoption of an experience capitalization process in rural development initiatives.
The objectives of this study are to: (1) assess the demand for vegetables from formal buyers in Lesotho; (2) examine the current production and marketing strategies of commercial vegetable farmers; and (3) suggest the design of the pilot supplier development program (SDP) to improve formal market access for smallholder farmers. The focus of this study is on Maseru, as it is the main center of demand in the country. The rest of this paper is organized as follows. Part 1 describes the demand for fresh produce and sourcing strategies of buyers in Maseru.

The study covers eight thematic areas: supplying seed, registering fertilizer, securing water, registering machinery, sustaining livestock, protecting plant health, trading food and accessing finance. The report highlights global best performers and countries that made the most significant regulatory improvements in support of farmers
The purpose of Working with Smallholders handbook is to enable the development of more sustainable, resilient and productive supply chains for agribusinesses and to illustrate the substantial development impact. Smallholder farmers are both an opportunity and a challenge for food and agribusiness companies. The predominance of smallholders in many frontier and emerging markets makes them an integral part of agribusiness supply chains. Many firms source from smallholders or are actively seeking to source from them. Calls for fairer, more inclusive supply chains will hasten this trend.

During the period 2013-2019, the Agricultural Extension in South Asia (AESA) Network has served as a platform for collating the voices, insights, concerns, and experiences of people in the extension sphere of South Asia. Diverse professionals shared their concerns on the present and future of Extension and Advisory Services (EAS) in the form of blog conversations for AESA. Together, all of these individuals who are involved, interested and passionate about EAS, discussed ways to move beyond some of the seemingly intransigent problems that are hindering the professionalization of EAS.
