El objetivo de este estudio realizado en el año 2015 fue analizar el nivel de competitividad de 145 unidades familiares distribuidas en los tres estados. Se empleó un cuestionario para la obtención de datos que facilitaron la detección de los factores que han intervenido para tal situación. Se seleccionaron comunidades representativas de los tres estados (Oaxaca, Guerrero y Chiapas) y se recopiló información socioeconómica por medio de cuestionarios como la principal fuente de datos, la cual se complementó con talleres y pláticas informales.
Este es un estudio analítico-descriptivo no publicado, enfocado en TICs en la apicultura argentina, uruguaya, costarricense y dominicana, se enmarca conceptualmente analizando la situación productiva apícola global y de estos países latinoamericanos y el “estado del arte” de TICs en agricultura y apicultura en referentes líderes. Proyecta una potencial adaptación por los países bajo estudio; conceptualiza un modelo decisorio de productor apícola y sintetiza implicancias de variables relevantes para el desarrollo y difusión de dichas tecnologías.

This presentation for the Third Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD3,Johannesburg, South Africa, 5-8 April 2016) illustrates the main goals and activities of the Tropical Agriculture Platform, the multilateral facilitation mechanism established by the G20 to promote greater coherence and impact of capacity development (CD) for agricultural innovation systems (AIS).
This study identifies systemic problems in the New Zealand Agricultural Innovation System (AIS) in relation to the AIS capacity to enact a co-innovation approach, in which all relevant actors in the agricultural sector contribute to combined technological, social and institutional change. Systemic problems are factors that negatively influence the direction and speed of co-innovation and impede the development and functioning of innovation systems. The contribution in the paper is twofold.
This report summarizes the international symposium organized on 21 June 2016 by the Tropical Agricultural Platform (TAP) to discuss capacity development for food security and nutrition in Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS). The sustainability of food value chains is an increasing concern for consumers, food companies and policy-makers. Global food chains are often perceived to be less sustainable than local food chains. Yet, thorough food chain analyses and comparisons of different food chains across sustainability dimensions are rare. In this article it is analyzed the local Belgian and global Peruvian asparagus value chains and explore their sustainability performance.

In Malawi, FARA involved the Department of Agricultural Research Services (DARS) that engaged an external consultant to undertake the following studies: 1. A situation analysis of agricultural innovations; 2 Programme for Accompanying Research in Innovations (PARI); 2. A scoping study of existing agricultural innovation platforms; 3. A study on National and international investment initiatives on innovation for agricultural development and food and nutrition security.
