This brochure presents the five-year TAP-AIS project (2019-2024) funded by the European Union under the DeSIRA Initiative and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. The project has the main objective to strengthen capacities to innovate in national agricultural innovation systems (AIS) in the context of climate-relevant, productive, and sustainable transformation of agriculture and food systems in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific.
Cambodia’s development is strongly influenced by growth in the agriculture sector. Cette publication offre de nombreux exemples concrets détaillant différentes manières de réengager les jeunes dans le secteur agricole. Elle montre à quel point des programmes éducationnels sur mesure peuvent offrir aux jeunes les compétences et la perspicacité nécessaires pour se lancer en agriculture et adopter des méthodes de production respectueuses de l’environnement. Beaucoup des approches ou des initiatives décrites dans cette publication sont issues des jeunes eux-mêmes.
The objective of this paper is to show how Value Chain Analysis for Development (VCA4D) applied sustainable development concept for value chain analysis to establish a manageable set of criteria allowing to provide quantitative information, which is desperately lacking in many situations in developing economies, usable by decision makers and in line with policymakers concerns and strategies (the “international development agenda”).
El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar la oferta y demanda tecnológica para plantear alternativas en la innovación de la cadena agroalimentaria de maíz en el estado de Hidalgo, México. Se realizaron las siguientes etapas: 1) caracterización de la cadena; 2) identificación de los factores críticos; 3) distinción de demandas tecnológicas de conocimiento y política; 4) reconocimiento de la oferta tecnológica y 5) cuantificación de proyectos de investigación y política pública.
El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar las redes de financiamiento entre las instituciones de investigación pertenecientes al sistema nacional de investigación agropecuario (SNIA) en México. En 2014 fueron realizadas 164 encuestas a instituciones de educación (IES), centros públicos de investigación (CPI) y empresas o instituciones de investigación privado (SP) que realizan acciones de investigación en el ámbito agropecuario en México. El objetivo de esta propuesta es presentar el uso de técnicas estadísticas para analizar y evaluar el proceso de adopción de innovaciones tecnológicas. La metodología que se propone incluye escalas cualitativas para analizarse con técnicas multivariadas como prueba de normalidad multivariada, análisis por componentes principales, aglomerados y correlación canónica. The increased recognition of the multiplicity of roles played by women in, and their crucial contributions to, the fisheries sector exists in stark contrast with the low presence of women in fisherfolk organizations around the globe, and the lack of access to decision-making positions in many formal fisheries-related organizations.
