El presente trabajo pretende indagar sobre las decisiones productivas y, en particular, sobre aspectos tecnológicos como la actividad ganadera, la siembra de soja, el uso de nuevos materiales genéticos, el uso de agroquímicos (pesticidas y fertilizantes), el tipo de laboreo de suelo y las siembras consociadas en establecimientos familiares del sudeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires. Todo ello con la finalidad de revalorizar estas prácticas y saberes e incorporarlos al diseño de estrategias de manejo agroecológico

The study is conducted in Sikasso, Koulikoro and Mopti regions on small scale irrigation systems for providing information and proposing solutions to decision makers. Based on 25 case studies from the global comparative study ‘GENNOVATE: Enabling gender equality in agricultural and environmental innovation’, this paper explores rural young women’s and men’s occupational aspirations and trajectories in India, Mali, Malawi, Morocco, Mexico, Nigeria, and the Philippines. The study draw upon qualitative data from 50 sex-segregated focus groups with the youth to show that across the study’s regional contexts, young rural women and men predominantly aspire for formal blue and white-collar jobs
The paper documents the institutional logics of three case studies. The first case study focuses on farmer cooperatives and analyses the rules and routines enforced by new national legislation in replacement of traditional village associations. The argument behind this new arrangement was to better facilitate members’ access to agricultural inputs and services to enhance food production. The second case is about the institutional arrangement of seed systems in Mali. The new agricultural development framework includes a Seed Law aimed at facilitating farmers’ access to high quality seed.
Recently, a new approach to extension and climate information services, namely Participatory Integrated Climate Services for Agriculture (PICSA) has been developed. PICSA makes use of historical climate records, participatory decision-making tools and forecasts to help farmers identify and better plan livelihood options that are suited to local climate features and farmers’ own circumstances.
L’article analyse, à l’aide de la méthode ImpresS conçue par le Cirad, un processus d’innovation impulsé par les utilisatrices d’un équipement de transformation : le décortiqueur et blanchisseur de fonio (Digitaria exilis Stapf) en Afrique de l’Ouest. L’identification du système d’acteurs et le récit chronologique du processus d’innovation ont été mobilisés pour caractériser les mécanismes et les conditions qui expliquent la réussite de cette innovation.

The overall goal of a CNA is to determine the gap between required and existing capacities.
