This Guide to Evaluating Rural Extension has been developed by the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS). The purpose is to support those involved in extension evaluation to choose how to conduct more comprehensive, rigorous, credible and useful evaluations. The Guide supports readers to understand different types of evaluation, to make decisions on what is most appropriate for their circumstances, and to access further sources of theoretical and practical information.

El estudio describe como las ferias se establecen como un espacio de trabajo organizado en conjunto que genera oportunidades sociales y laborales para el sector.

While much has been written about the importance of mainstreaming gender in agricultural value chains (and the challenges inherent in doing so), relatively few studies have provided details on cases in which gender integration 1 has been successful. This study, therefore, presents a collection of experiences in which rural advisory services (RAS) were able to successfully mainstream gender into agricultural value chains, categorised in terms of “best-fit practices”.

El objetivo del trabajo es evaluar el impacto de la utilización del silobolsa, concentrándose fundamentalmente en el análisis de aspectos económicos de las innovaciones. Desde el punto de vista social, la innovación podría haber generado beneficios en un rango de 8,5 a 10 mil millones de dólares, permitiendo al productor primario reducir costos de transacción, integrarse verticalmente, aumentar las posibilidades de almacenaje e incrementar el valor de la producción de granos.
The Guidance Note on Operationalization provides a brief recap of the conceptual underpinnings and principles of the TAP Common Framework as well as a more detailed guide to operationalization of the proposed dual pathways approach. It offers also a strategy for monitoring and evaluation as well as a toolbox of select tools that may be useful at the different stages of the CD for AIS cycle.

La Guía Operativa provee una breve recapitulación de los fundamentos conceptuales y principios del Marco Común de la TAP así como una guía más detallada para la operacionalización del enfoque de rutas de doble vía del Desarrollo de Capacidades (DC) para los Sistemas de Innovación Agrícola (SIA). También ofrece una estrategia para el monitoreo y evaluación, así como una caja de herramientas que pueden ser útiles en las diferentes etapas del ciclo de DC para los SIA.
