Este libro busca difundir las lecciones aprendidas y experiencia ganada con este proceso y promover y facilitar la integración y participación de actores locales (organizaciones, asociaciones, cooperativas, familias productoras, etc.) presentes, no solo en los territorios, municipios y comunidades, sino también a nivel nacional.
Este trabajo tiene como objetivos analizar el potencial aporte de los SLE en la en la cogestión de la seguridad hídrica, energética y alimentaria y nutricional a partir de la experiencias de los municipios de San Juan Comalapa, San José Poaquil y Patzún.
Este informe inicia con un análisis de sector agropecuario hondureño y la revisión sobre el marco legal e institucional que rige al sector agrícola. Luego, se analiza por separado cada uno de los cuatro rubros de producción (café, cacao, ganadería y granos básicos) en cuanto a políticas, leyes e institucionalidad propia en los sectores priorizados por el MAP II (Programa Agroambiental Mesoamericano II).
Esta tesis es una contribución pionera en América Latina al análisis de los impactos del programa 4-S sobre el desarrollo positivo juvenil y su relación con el bienestar de la comunidad en Costa Rica. Se combinó el Marco del Desarrollo Positivo Juvenil con el Marco de los Capitales de la Comunidad con el objetivo ampliar el enfoque del análisis del nivel personal/ familiar hacia el nivel comunitario.

The privatization of agricultural advisory and extension services in many countries and the associated pluralism of service providers has renewed interest in farmers’ use of fee-for-service advisors. Understanding farmers’ use of advisory services is important, given the role such services are expected to play in helping farmers address critical environmental and sustainability challenges. This paper aims to identify factors associated with farmers’ use of fee-for service advisors and bring fresh conceptualization to this topic.
The privatization of agricultural research and extension establishments worldwide has led to the development of a market for services designed to support agricultural innovation. However, due to market and systemic failures, both supply side and demand side parties in this market have experienced constraints in effecting transactions and establishing the necessary relationships to engage in demand-driven innovation processes.
Innovation system approach offers an holistic, multidisciplinary and comprehensive framework for analyzing innovation process, the roles of science and technology actors and their interactions, emphazing on wider stakeholder participation, linkages and institutional context of innovation and processes. This paper was aimed to: 1. review the concept of innovation system; 2. appraise the application to agriculture and its relevance and 3. analyze the policy implications for agricultural extension delivery in Nigeria.
The private sector’s presence in agricultural advisory services worldwide has been on the increase for over three decades. This trend has also been observed in the Mantaro Valley (Peru), in a context of dairy family farming. The objective of the communication is to analyse the modalities of advisory services privatization and assess the consequences of this privatization for the farmers and their livestock systems. Data were collected through input suppliers, different types of advisers and producers interviews.
