El presente cuaderno “Desarrollo de capacidades para cooperaciones con el sector privado (CDP) — Servicios de asesoramiento”, concebido como documento informativo general, proporciona una visión de conjunto de la oferta de asesoramiento en el ámbito del desarrollo de capacidades para diferentes formas de cooperación entre el Estado y el sector privado (CDP, por sus siglas en inglés).
Este folleto describe la organización de un seminario para la RFE (Reforma Fiscal Ecológica) y está diseñado para representantes de ministerios pertinentes (medio ambiente, economía/industria, hacienda), funcionarios públicos (entidades descentralizadas), consultores, representantes de ONGs y otros actores claves de economías emergentes o en vías de desarrollo. A la vez se dirige a representantes de donantes o de instituciones académicos interesados en aplicar o promover la RFE.
El objetivo del presente folleto es ofrecer una visión general del trabajo de la GIZ en la gobernanza forestal. Tras una breve introducción en la que se describe el marco de la política nacional e internacional, así como los desafíos actuales y emergentes, exponemos los principios y métodos del trabajo. Mediante ejemplos concretos de actividades en distintos países y regiones mostramos las experiencias adquiridas y destacamos los temas más relevantes.

Agriculture is among the most vulnerable sectors to extreme weather events and changing climate. People depending on agriculture are regularly facing the challenge to protect and maintain their livelihoods.
This policy brief deals with the following points: (i) Given the importance of agriculture and the rural medium for countries’ growth and development, policy makers must strengthen the institutional structure of rural extension and increase public and private investment; (ii) Abundant natural resources, knowledge, technology, and extensionists are not enough.

It is implemented by Swisscontact under the umbrella of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh. The project has been operating in Bangladesh since 2003 in three phases.
Often, farmers excessively use chemical pesticides with detrimental effects on environmental and human health.The ‘Commercialising Bio-Pesticides in Bangladesh’ mini case study explains how the Katalyst project and private sector partner Ispahani Agro Ltd. formulated a policy recommendation on the amendment of the 1985 Pesticide Act to make the proper registration and marketing of “Bio-Pesticides” possible, allowing companies to market and distribute IPM products to a mass audience.
Katalyst, one of the leading market development programs in Bangladesh, wanted to investigate the scope for growth of agro-food processing industry in Bangladesh and define the interventions that could facilitate the growth by addressing the key barriers for growth and competitiveness. The study began with identifying prospective subsectors to analyse and understand the subsector-specific and overarching constraints and opportunities.
