Le Niger compte parmi les pays les plus vulnérables au monde en raison du contexte lié à son climat, ses institutions, ses sources de revenus, son économie et son environnement. La pauvreté y est omniprésente et le pays se classe au bas de l’échelle sur la quasi-totalité des indicateurs de développement humain. L’agriculture est le secteur le plus important de l’économie du Niger. Elle représente plus de 40 pour cent du le produit intérieur brut national et constitue la principale source de revenus pour plus de 80 pour cent de la population.
The paper discusses the work force development (Wfd) tool that places explicit focus on three functional dimensions of Wfd policies and institutions: (a) strategy; (b) system oversight; and (c) service delivery. Strategy refers to the alignment between workforce development and a country’s national goals for economic and social development. System oversight refers to the governance arrangements that shape the behaviors key stakeholders involved, including individuals, employers, and training providers.

This paper aims to develop a vision statement for the agricultural sector that may then guide the future investments in Chile's agricultural innovation system, A joint and shared perspective on how the sector might look and what role agricultural innovation should play in getting there is a prerequisite for any effective strategy. But developing such a vision is not only a function of what the country wants: it also depends on the context in which Chile's agricultural sector will find itself.
Tanzania has tremendous potential to support a thriving agribusiness sector. Agriculture is diverse and extensive, employing more than 80 percent of the population, and contributing about 28 percent of Gross Domestic Product, or GDP and 30 percent of export earnings. A wide range of agricultural commodities are produced in Tanzania, including fiber (sisal, cotton), beverages (coffee, tea), sugar, grains (a diverse range of cereals and legumes), horticulture (temperate and tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers) and edible oils.
In line with the government of Mozambique’s strategies, this document proposes an innovative model with high promise to develop value-adding market led post-harvest processing enterprises and to transform the post harvest-processing sector in Mozambique, while creating sustainable jobs and increasing incomes. Con el objetivo de conocer las estrategias de comercialización de Walmart y las oportunidades de desarrollo de los pequeños productores hortícolas, se realizó un estudio en Acatzingo, uno de los principales municipios hortícolas del estado de Puebla, México. Se concluye que las negociaciones directas que establece Walmart con los pequeños productores hortícolas, la supresión de un eslabón de la cadena de valor del sistema hortícola y la manipulación de los precios de las hortalizas, son estrategias que apuntan hacia la hegemonía de esta cadena de autoservicio en el sistema hortícola
