The Policy Compendium for Rural Advisory Services (RAS) is a tool that contributes to filling the gap between the rural advisory services (RAS) policy environment and RAS efforts in the field. It helps direct decisions and facilitate successful policy processes and outcomes in extension and advisory services by making knowledge accessible, fostering synergies and promoting policy processes to improve RAS and rural development. It has two purposes.
The second Action plan of the Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP) covers the period 2018-2021. The draft Plan was presented at the fifth TAP Partners Assembly in Laos in September 2017, at which partners appointed a task force to finalise the Action Plan for review by the TAP Steering Committee and final approval by the TAP Partners’ Assembly. The goal of the second TAP Action Plan is to strengthen agricultural innovation capacities at country level.
Le secteur agricole dans la bande de Gaza est confronté à un certain nombre de problèmes systémiques dont le plus important est l’épuisement de son aquifère côtier, qui est la seule source d’eau douce. Applied Research and Innovation Systems in Agriculture (ARISA) was implemented by CSIRO in collaboration with Indonesian partners. This multi-year program seeks to strengthen collaboration between public research organisations and agribusinesses in order to incubate and deliver technology and business solutions appropriate to smallholder farmers. The geographic focus of the program was Eastern Indonesia.

The project’s overall objective is to improve the rural population’s resilience to food insecurity by increasing their income through Castor oil plant, Honey, Beans and Goat value chains. GIZ is contributing to the Androy, Anosy and Atsimo- Antsinanana regions’ economic development and aims to integrate mainly vulnerable households in these chains, especially households run by a woman. GIZ has selected high potential sectors and wants to make sure that they can adapt to climate change.
L’objectif général du projet est d’améliorer la résilience de la population rurale face à l’insécurité alimentaire en augmentant leur revenu à travers la promotion des chaînes de valeur. La GIZ contribue au développement économique dans les régions Androy, Anosy et Atsimo Atsinanana et vise surtout à intégrer des ménages vulnérables dans ces chaînes, notamment les ménages dirigés par les femmes. La GIZ sélectionne des filières à haut potentiel et souhaite les adapter aux changements climatiques.
