El objetivo de este articulo es analizar la gobernanza de la cadena de la mora para hacer más eficiente su desempeño en el ámbito de los Sistemas Agroalimentarios Locales. Si bien la interrelación y coordinación entre actores se enmarca dentro de un programa gubernamental diseñado para tal fin, distintos factores, comportamiento del mercado, políticas macro y micro económicas y sectoriales, intereses de actores privados, condiciones de producción y de organización, determinan el proceso de toma de decisiones en la cadena.
El objetivo del presente trabajo es abordar la estrategia de desarrollo local desde las comunidades de aprendizaje (CA), con fundamento en la generación de flujos de conocimiento que subyacen en un aula de clase y se transforma en conocimiento, en el contexto municipal - parroquial vinculado con las instituciones del sector público y privado impulsando acciones de emprendimiento e innovación con el apoyo de medios virtuales propiciando el desarrollo endógeno.
Este artículo se divide en tres secciones. En la primera se identifican los principales actores privados del componente Producción Primaria (PRI) del Sistema Agroalimentario Venezolano (SAV), junto con las asociaciones gremiales que los representan, para establecer qué actividades realizan, cuáles son sus organizaciones gremiales relevantes y su importancia en el conjunto de la economía venezolana.
This paper sets out an analytical framework for doing research on the question of how to use agricultural research for innovation and impact. Its focus is the Research Into Use programme sponsored by the UK's Department for International Development (DFID). This is one example of a new type of international development programme that seeks to find better ways of using research for developmental purposes.
In comparison with the other EU (27) countries Innovation capacity indicators in Latvia remain low and considerably underperform. Problems and solutions are illustrated to represent innovation capacity in Latvia. The article consists of the following parts: first - theoretical aspects are selected to describe the essential definition of the analyzed subject. In the second part, experience from abroad is described, at the end – Latvian innovation policy and situation is analyzed and suggestions for further needs are formulated.
This is the third volume of the proceedings of the national conference on "Water for Food and Environment", which was held from June 9 -11, 2009 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). The volumes 1 and 2 have been produced as separate documents of this report series. In response to a call for abstracts, 81 abstracts were received from government institutes dealing with water resources and agriculture development, universities, other freelance researchers and researchers from the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) has been working in Nepal since 1986 with the objective of undertaking research in water management and to strengthen the research capabilities of concerned government agencies. The Sanjiang Plain Wetlands Protection Project (SPWPP) supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), focuses on integrating conservation and development needs in the Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang Province of the People’s Republic of China. As a party to the Convention on Biodiversity (CBO), there is a need for Malaysia to implement its commitment to CBO's objectives on conserving biological diversity, sustainable utilisation of natural resources, and fair and equitable benefit sharing deriving from the use of genetic resources. The growth of internet-based technologies has created new opportunities for facilitating this participation and enhancing the ability of resource-poor communities to access information and support and to share experiences and knowledge.
