Este encuentro sobre “aprendizaje efectivo” se ha diseñado a partir de la premisa de que la verdadera adquisición de conocimientos se logra mediante la utilización de métodos de aprendizaje orientados a desencadenar la creatividad, acompañados del uso de herramientas e información que les permitan a los participantes identificar el tipo de inteligencia que predomina en ellos, con el fin de que aprovechen de mejor manera sus capacidades. This is the final report of the fifth regional consultative forum meeting of the Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC) convened in Hyderabad, India from 19 to 21 June 2014. It was attended by 85 participants from 17 countries and 28 national, regional and inter governmental partner organizations and projects. Forum participants came to the meeting to develop and reach consensus on ways of implementing policies and action plans designed to address the major challenges confronting the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in the region.
This guide is intended to assist facilitators in conducting a workshop with Extension and Advisory Service (EAS) providers for assessing their capacity needs. This guide has been compiled by the Centre for Research on Innovation and Science Policy (CRISP) for AESA with the assistance of a research grant from the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS).
Capacity development interventions in support of agricultural innovation are more effective when based on systematic and participatory assessments of existing skills and capacity needs. Recognizing that, an instrument has been developed in the context of the Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation Systems (CDAIS) project. It consists of a capacity scoring tool that allows assessing innovation capacities, identifying strengths and weaknesses and monitoring capacity changes over time. This paper describes the scoring tool and provides guidelines on how to apply it successfully.
Esta es la primera de 4 guías desarrolladas por la Alianza de Aprendizaje; cada una de ellas correspondiente a uno de los cuatro módulos de capacitación aplicados durante el Ciclo de Aprendizaje 2008 – 2010 de la Alianza Nicaragua, con el fin de fotalecer la gestión empresarial de organizaciones de productores y sus proveedores de servicios empresariales mediante un proceso sólido de seguimiento y evaluación, el cual permita sistematizar los cambios significativos generados en el proceso de fortalecimiento y generar lecciones aprendidas.
L’agriculture est un secteur économique et social vital pour la région Proche-Orient et Afrique du Nord, où elle représente en moyenne 14 pour cent du PIB (chiffre excluant les pays riches producteurs de pétrole) et fournit des emplois et des revenus à 38 pour cent de la population économiquement active. La petite agriculture représente plus de 80 pour cent de la production agricole et contribue de manière déterminante à la sécurité alimentaire, à la lutte contre la pauvreté et à la gestion durable des ressources naturelles.
Le programme de la GIZ intitulé « Amélioration des conditions-cadres dans le secteur privé et financier (ProEcon) » vise à promouvoir le développement économique au Zimbabwe. Parmi les projets conçus à cet effet figure la promotion des cycles économiques en milieu rural. Se fondant sur l’agriculture contractuelle comme instrument efficace, le projet ProEcon appuie l’intégration des petits exploitants agricoles dans les chaines de valeur, l’objectif étant d’augmenter leurs possibilités de revenu.
With the ratification of Republic Act (RA) No. 10055 or the Philippine Technology Transfer Act of 2009, the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) has intensified its efforts on technology transfer by establishing the DOST-PCAARRD Innovation and Technology Center (DPITC). The Center is designed to deliver quality services on technology commercialization and intellectual property (IP) management.
This paper builds on experiences from the Research Into Use programme in South Asia that tried to up-scale promising research outputs into wider use. The experience suggests that while facilitating access to technology is important in putting research into use, it has value only when it is bundled together with other innovation-management tasks such as: developing networks, organising producers, communicating research needs, mediating conflicts, facilitating access to inputs and output services, convening innovation platforms, and advocating for policy change and other negotiated changes in
