Pour en comprendre l’ampleur et les raisons, nous avons développé un outil permettant une analyse socio-spatiale et socio-environnementale, à l’échelle du finage de deux villages, des dynamiques des ressources, de leurs usages et des stratégies d’accès développées par les populations : un SIG « à dires d’acteurs » associant sur le même support une cartographie classique (réseau hydrographique, forêts, voies de communication, villages, etc.) et l’expertise des populations locales.
In response to population growth, rising income and urbanisation, the demand for livestock products, such as milk, meat and eggs is growing in Ethiopia. The world’s population is likely to reach 9 billion by the middle of this century. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) believes that 60 per cent more food will be needed by 2050 to sustain all these people. Where possible, this food should be produced where it is needed – in developing countries.
