Este libro demuestra a través de datos la importancia de la investigación y el desarrollo tecnológico, la extensión y la transferencia tecnológica, la vinculación tecnológica, las articulaciones con otras instituciones, la gestión del conocimiento y la comunicación para los desafios del desarrollo rural. Asimismo, expone que los procesos de innovación son altamente sensibles a los contextos socioeconómicos y a la implementación de políticas públicas.
El presente documento fue elaborado en el Marco del Proyecto “Fortalecimiento de la gestión de recursos hídricos y sistemas de riego para productores de la agricultura familiar del Chaco de Paraguay, Argentina y Bolivia”, financiado con recursos del Fondo de Cooperación Técnica (FonCT) del IICA, incluye Fichas Descriptivas de seis aspectos tecnológicos (temáticos) que son de interés para efectos de difusión y transferencia tecnológica, en manejo de agua y riegos en la región del Chaco compartida por: Argentina, Bolivia y Paraguay.
This report provides a synthesis of all findings and information generated through a “stocktaking” process that involved a desk study of Prolinnova documents and evaluation reports, a questionnaire to 40 staff members of international organizations in agricultural research and development (ARD), self-assessment by the Country Platforms (CPs) and backstopping visits to five CPs. In 2014, the Prolinnova network saw a need to re-strategise in a changing context, and started this process by reviewing the activities it had undertaken and assessing its own functioning.

It shows the great variability of social models of organic production recognised by Brazilian Law: organic, agroecological, ecological or biodynamic agriculture, permaculture etc.. It depicts how the political and social concerns in the spheres of family farming and environment caused the reorganisation of production systems, in the agricultural practices and n the new relationships with the market and with natural resources.

The challenge is to ensure coordination across value chains to guarantee that the right conditions are in place for making the Agribusiness Innovation Center (AIC) a success.
Tanzania has tremendous potential to support a thriving agribusiness sector. Agriculture is diverse and extensive, employing more than 80 percent of the population, and contributing about 28 percent of Gross Domestic Product, or GDP and 30 percent of export earnings. A wide range of agricultural commodities are produced in Tanzania, including fiber (sisal, cotton), beverages (coffee, tea), sugar, grains (a diverse range of cereals and legumes), horticulture (temperate and tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers) and edible oils.
