Este documento, sintetiza los resultados de diversos procesos de intercambio y análisis y pretende informar los futuros procesos de desarrollo institucional en el tema. Los resultados en el documento han sido estructurados en cinco secciones principales: a. Marco conceptual que sintetiza los elementos que diferencia la planificación para la adaptación en la agricultura de otros procesos de planificación; b. Mapeo de la institucionalidad actual que soporta las acciones en cambio climático y agricultura en cada país; c.
Este documento identifica los instrumentos económicos, financieros y fiscales con los que cuenta el gobierno de Perú para incorporar un enfoque de adaptación al cambio climático o que podrían ser utilizados para promover la implementación de iniciativas que contribuyan a la adaptación del cambio climático en el país. Sin embargo, se limita a tres sectores relevantes: gestión del recurso hídrico, agricultura y gestión del riesgo por desastres.

El EPCP es un enfoque flexible que involucra a pequeños productores, agentes del mercado, investigadores y otros proveedores de servicios, en un proceso colectivo que identifica y aprovecha potenciales oportunidades de negocio, que puedan beneficiar equitativamente a los diversos actores de la cadena de mercado. Este enfoque fue desarrollado y aplicado primero en los Andes, para mejorar la competitividad de las cadenas de mercado de papa y mejorar los ingresos de los pequeños productores.
This report brings the experience of an Sharing Evend and Police tour held in eastern africa by FAO and the Rwanda agricultural board. The Field School study tour was organized by FAO Rwanda in collaboration with the Rwanda Agricultural board and involved participants from Kenya and Ethiopia. The participants from Ethiopia were 2 (Government and FAO) and those from Kenya were 9 (FAO, MOALF, University, Research). The tour was focussed on two districts namely Rulindo and Rubavu. On the first day the group visited FS facilitator training in Rulindo and later a visit to FFS facilitator group.
This paper analyses intermediary organisations in developing economy agricultural clusters. The paper critically engages with a growing narrative in studies of intermediaries that have stressed the ownership structure of intermediaries as a key driver for enabling knowledge transfer, inter-firm learning and upgrading of small producers in clusters. Two case studies of Latin American clusters are presented and discussed.

The CDAIS project, funded by the EU and jointly implemented by Agrinatura and FAO, enhances innovation in agriculture by improving the functional capacities of individuals, organizations and systems. It brings partners together and uses continuous learning cycles to address the challenges and opportunities in and around selected ‘innovation niche partnerships’ in eight pilot countries in Central America, Africa and Asia.
This book discusses innovation problems and opportunities for family farming in the different regions of the American continent, as well as the role of hemispheric, regional and national agrifood research systems.
