Este trabajo describe la metodología e implementación de la Estrategia Comunicacional (EC) del proyecto “Aportes para el crecimiento, la equidad y la sustentabilidad del territorio diversificado de los partidos costeros de San Pedro y Baradero”, basado en el marco de la investigación participativa y transdisciplinar propia de la metaperspectiva de la Comunicación Estratégica (CE) de la Escuela de Rosario.
El objetivo de este trabajo presentado en la II Jornadas de Sociología es analizar el rol que cumplen las TIC en el proceso de comercialización implementado por Tu Raíz atendiendo el uso de dichas tecnologías en la compra de productos como en la venta, desde una concepción de la complejidad de los procesos de innovación y de comunicación.
El documento presenta una descripción de la estructura del ámbito rural, la demografía, la oferta de bienes y servicios, las principales desigualdades, niveles de pobreza, importancia y rol de la agricultura familiar y de otras actividades económicas (diversificación), principales características de la sociedad rural y la presencia del sector privado. Además discutirá las tendencias de la migración y de otros procesos sociales o económicos relevantes para la descripción de la situación de lo rural.
This brief outlines why it is needed an index to measure and monitor women’s access to the services, markets, policies and other aspects constraining their ability to contribute to and benefit from opportunities in agriculture and agribusiness, especially in the developing world. This brief describes how Women in Business Development Incorporated (WIBDI), a non-profit organisation in Samoa, works with farming families to produce highvalue products for local and global markets. Shifting away from a women-focused approach, WIBDI now uses an approach that involves the whole family, keeping all family members on board. It has also invested in digital applications and resources to increase the efficiency of operations, profile the producers and their products, and facilitate engagement with markets and customers
Digital as well as other technical and institutional innovations underpin the success of agriculture in developing countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP). Such innovations are encouraging a new generation of young ‘agripreneurs’ to tackle agri-food challenges, explore ways to build resilience to climate change, and improve the incomes and livelihoods of people in agriculture.
This brief argues that policy-makers in ACP countries must engage with young people to ensure that the policy environment reflects their interests and makes the sector attractive to them. Policies that work for and with youth are more likely to attract young people to the sector, injecting dynamism, growth and transformation.
