This paper surveys members of a beef cattle value chain in Vietnam's Central Highlands to examine the translation of value chain actor's resources into positional advantage and financial performance in an emerging country. Using structural equation modeling techniques, the paper estimates a path model to explore how resources are linked to positional advantage and ultimately financial performance. This study attempts to contribute to the literature in two ways.

The objective of this report is to identify and evaluate best practices in smallholder private irrigation in West Africa. The report is based on a comparative assessment of the smallholder private irrigation subsector in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and Nigeria, which included a literature review, field visits, and workshops at both national and regional levels. The task lists for the assessment is provided in annex one. This report first presents the main features of smallholder irrigation and the development projects that have promoted its use in West Africa in chapter two.
mNutrition was a five-year global initiative supported by the Department for International Development (DFID) between 2013 and 2018, organised by GSMA and implemented by in-country mobile network operators (MNOs) and other providers. Lesotho's agricultural system faces a growing number of climate-related vulnerabilities with droughts, floods, pests, and extreme temperatures occurring more frequently. In response, the Government of Lesotho is collaborating with the World Bank to integrate climate change into the country’s agriculture policy agenda through the Lesotho Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Plan (CSAIP).
Le projet RIVAGE veut favoriser l’adoption de pratiques alternatives pour gérer les impacts de la pollution diffuse dans le bassin versant de la rivière Pérou en Guadeloupe. Son objectif est de produire et partager les connaissances sur les processus, les impacts et les pratiques innovantes avec les acteurs du territoire. Pour faciliter la prise en compte des résultats, le projet a créé une « école-acteurs ». L’école-acteurs est un espace d’échanges autour des thématiques liées à la pollution diffuse agricole.
Les ruralités aux Suds sont marquées par une augmentation des flux de personnes et de biens et par des systèmes de mobilités diverses et complexes. Rappelant les raisons qui ont contribué à négliger les mobilités et la pluriactivité dans de nombreux travaux de recherche sur les ruralités aux Suds, l’article propose un modèle d’analyse original, sous le nom de Systèmes Familiaux Multilocalisés, qui permettrait de mieux articuler l’analyse des flux, des liens, et des temporalités mobilitaires, dans les recherches sur les systèmes de pluriactivités développés selon des logiques familiales.
