La metodología descrita está dirigida a aumentar la capacidad de influir positivamente en los tomadores de decisión, para que comprendan que es necesario fortalecer el sector agropecuario, lo que sería esencial para contribuir eficazmente a combatir la pobreza y a impulsar el desarrollo. La metodolofía busca fortalecer los valores, desarrollar la confianza, mejorar las capacidades de negociación y promover el compromiso, la escucha empática y la comunicación efectiva, entre otros factores.
El documento se divide en cuatro capítulos, el primero contempla un marco de referencia para contextualizar las prácticas en España y la situación en Colombia y el marco conceptual con algunos de los términos más representativos trabajados en el proyecto. En el segundo capítulo se describe el modelo de acompañamiento al CMDR y las respectivas etapas de implementación. El tercer capítulo brinda herramientas para acompañar los procesos de fortalecimiento del CMDR en los diferentes territorios a nivel departamental y nacional.
This training manual was developed for Africa RISING, a USAID funded research-for-development (R4D) program that recognizes gender mainstreaming as key for achieving its overall research and development objectives. The program is based on an integrated action research and farming-systems approach, and strives for gender transformation. A gender capacity assessment in 2015 identified a pronounced demand among Africa RISING scientists for training in gender analysis. As a first step towards addressing this need, an annotated bibliography with selected sources for self-learning was developed.
The TOWS Matrix is derived from the SWOT Analysis model. The SWOT analysis is based on two factors; internal factors (Strengths and Weakness) and external factors (Opportunities and Threats). For an organisation to function at the best of its potential, these tools should be utilised at the beginning of the year. The concept of inclusive business has gained a central place in development policy and practice. that the underlying premise is that by making small scale farmers part of their business model, companies can increase their profitability and at the same time contribute to farmers’ livelihoods. Despite a wealth of positive anecdotal evidence, it remains unclear whether and how a company can do this. This paper examines how agri-business should become (more) inclusive in contributing to food security.

A counselor or an agribusiness development can give support through the diagnostic tools, that allow to give a picture of the organizations and to set a working strategy that will be used to address the identified problems of the organizations and assist farmers develop sustainable solutions for these problems.
This study presents detailed examples of how repeat Sénékéla users have changed their farming and marketing practices, and the reasons underpinning these changes.
