Innovation has a high potential for increasing productivity and farmers’ income,l and consequently reducing poverty and improving food security. However several tropic al countries lack the resources and capacities to suitably develop their agricultural innovation systems. To address this gap, the g20 established the tropical agriculture platform (tap), a multilateral dynamic facilitation mechanism, which fosters better coherence and greater impact of capacity development for agricultural innova tion systems in tropical countries.
Le Programme d’appui au développement des filières agricoles (PADFA) a pour objectif d’améliorer les activités après-récolte (conditionnement, stockage, transformation et commercialisation) dans les filières du riz, des légumes et de la mangue en Côte d'Ivoire. The sustainable agricultural intensification research and learning in Africa (SAIRLA) project is a five-year program (2015–2020) funded by the UK Department of International Development. The project seeks to generate new evidence and design tools to enable governments, investors and other key actors to deliver more effective policies and investments in sustainable agricultural intensification (SAI) that strengthen the capacity of poorer farmers’, especially women and young people, to access and benefit from SAI.
Este panfeto describr las experiencias del Proyecto innovaciones Hortalizas. El proyecto ha consolidado acciones con enfoque de equidad de género en diferentes niveles (familias, organizaciones y plataformas institucionales) con el propósito de promover la participación e inserción de hombres y mujeres con igualdad y equidad en todas sus fases de implementación. Todas las acciones están orientadas a alcanzar mayor participación en los espacios políticos (organizaciones, juntas directivas), espacios económicos (mercados y cadenas) y acceso a formación y desarrollo de capacidades.
El presente material fue elaborado en el marco del proceso de gestión del conocimiento y creación de capacidades para contribuir a la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional, promovidas por MAP, a través de las ECA. Está dirigido a familias rurales presentes en los territorios clave del proyecto: NicaCentral en Nicaragua y Trifinio en la zona Transfronteriza de Guatemala, Honduras y El Salvador.

To respond to the vast needs in Tanganyika, DRC, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) are implementing an integrated programme to build community resilience and strengthen agricultural value chains. Despite its vast natural resources, the DRC faces the largest hunger crisis in the world. The country continues to experience prolonged conflict – particularly in the east – contributing to large-scale population displacements, disrupting agricultural activities and impeding access to markets, schools and healthcare.
