Se propuso un procedimiento de gestión del conocimiento para la mejora en las cadenas de suministro de alimentos perecederos. Se realizó una revisión documental, observación detallada y entrevista a los trabajadores. Se efectuaron técnicas como: método de expertos, diagrama causa-efecto y análisis estadístico. Se identificaron las brechas de conocimientos de los pescadores en la empresa pesquera y se construyó el mapa de conocimiento del pescador.
Innovations are considered as a key driver for economic growth and increased competitiveness. Investments in agricultural research and development could generate not only economic and social effects but also environmental benefits. The study aims to analyse of agricultural innovation system in Bulgaria and the linkages with agricultural R&D to formulate conclusions and recommendation for future development. The paper presents some of the theoretical concepts of innovation systems and the role of R&D in the process.

Small enterprises are one of the most effective factors in the development of each country’s economic and social systems, having the ability to compete with large industries, so these enterprises are mainly focused by authorities. This study aimed to develop indicators of entrepreneurship in rural small enterprises as well as identifying the effective factors and obstacles to provide strategies of entrepreneurship development. The population of study included small business owners in Fars Province, Iran that initiated business in rural areas through quick-impact enterprises project.
Agriculture in South Asia is vulnerable to climate change. Therefore, adaptation measures are required to sustain agricultural productivity, to reduce vulnerability, and to enhance the resilience of the agricultural system to climate change. There are many adaptation practices in the production systems that have been proposed and tested for minimizing the effects of climate change. Some socioeconomic and political setup contributes to adaptation, while others may inhibit it.
For farmers, the transition towards agroecology implies redesigning both their production system and their commercialisation system. To engage in this type of transition, they need to develop new knowledge on practices adapted to local conditions, which will involve new actors in their network. This chapter explores the role of actors’ networks in the agroecological transition of farmers, with a particular focus on farming practices and modes of commercialisation.
Building on previous research, the purpose of this study was to describe the needs of the extension agents, in the Riyadh Region of Saudi Arabia, for training on Organic Agriculture (OA). La cadena productiva incluye la tecnología y el saber-cómo utilizarla eficientemente (know-how). También existe la cadena de “suministro” que complementa la cadena productiva, donde se integra la actividad de los proveedores de materiales y servicios a la producción, la distribución de los productos o servicios terminados y su compra por los clientes. La cadena de suministro incluye la coordinación entre suministradores, intermediarios y clientes. En esencia, integra las actividades de suministro y demanda, dentro y fuera de las compañías.
Las proyecciones de aumento en el consumo de chocolate, principal elaborado del cacao, hacen que este cultivo represente una oportunidad para el forta-lecimiento de toda la cadena de valor, en especial de los agricultores; sin em-bargo, los países productores de cacao en ALC deben superar retos en el ámbito productivo, económico, social y ambiental.
