The Routemap to Information Nodes and Gateways (RING) is a CIARD project led by Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR). The Routemap consists of a registry of existing information services in agricultural research, innovation and development , indexed and described in a way that makes them more easily "exploitable" for building value-added integrated services.
This presentation sets out a future research agenda for research on agricultural extension and advisory services, under influence of sustainability transitions and disruptive technologies such as digital agriculture technology, and synthetic foods. The presentation was given in January 2009 and introduced why a new approach for livestock development for poverty alleviation was desirable, innovation, innovation systems and value chains, building of innovation platforms, learning-oriented monitoring and evaluation, and scaling up and out.
