Le projet RIVAGE veut favoriser l’adoption de pratiques alternatives pour gérer les impacts de la pollution diffuse dans le bassin versant de la rivière Pérou en Guadeloupe. Son objectif est de produire et partager les connaissances sur les processus, les impacts et les pratiques innovantes avec les acteurs du territoire. Pour faciliter la prise en compte des résultats, le projet a créé une « école-acteurs ». L’école-acteurs est un espace d’échanges autour des thématiques liées à la pollution diffuse agricole.
Lesotho's agricultural system faces a growing number of climate-related vulnerabilities with droughts, floods, pests, and extreme temperatures occurring more frequently. In response, the Government of Lesotho is collaborating with the World Bank to integrate climate change into the country’s agriculture policy agenda through the Lesotho Climate-Smart Agriculture Investment Plan (CSAIP).
This document is part of the project “Strengthening the adaptive capacity to climate change in the fisheries and aquaculture sector of Chile”, executed by the Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture and the Ministry of the Environment, and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, with funding from the Global Environment Facility. The objective of this report is to identify and evaluate best practices in smallholder private irrigation in West Africa. The report is based on a comparative assessment of the smallholder private irrigation subsector in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and Nigeria, which included a literature review, field visits, and workshops at both national and regional levels. The task lists for the assessment is provided in annex one. This report first presents the main features of smallholder irrigation and the development projects that have promoted its use in West Africa in chapter two.

El presente documento presenta un marco conceptual para los términos agricultura familiar e inclusión, hace una caracterización de la agricultura familiar y los problemas relativos a la exclusión en las áreas rurales, y analiza la institucionalidad creada para responder a estas situaciones. Finalmente, sugiere un conjunto de propuestas de lineamientos estratégicos para el fortalecimiento e inclusión de la agricultura familiar en las dinámicas del desarrollo de los territorios rurales, construidas participativamente en un taller interinstitucional.
Vertical linkages occur among innovation platforms organized at different levels: community, district and national. Horizontal linkages occur among platforms situated at the same level (e.g. in multiple districts) to strengthen their bargaining position or for learning. This brief discusses ways to facilitate learning and problem solving across innovation platforms at different levels (vertical linkages) and between initiatives located at the same level (horizontal linkages).
