En este artículo si demuenstra la experiencia Campagna Amica es relevante desde varios puntos de vista: por su amplia dimensión territorial, por el número de agricultores implicados, por el protagonismo de un importante sindicato agrario (Coldiretti), y porque pone de manifiesto los cambios que afectan a las políticas agrícolas europeas. No obstante, como oportunamente veremos, Campagna Amica muestra también sus limitaciones y contradicciones, así como los riesgos que tiene el proyecto, al ampliar sus relaciones a sectores no identificados claramente con las premisas que impulsaron su creación. El presente artículo se organiza en varias secciones. En primer lugar, se discute el concepto de redes agroalimentarias alternativas, explorando su potencial explicativo para una mejor comprensión de experiencias como la que representa el proyecto Campagna Amica. En segundo lugar, se hace una breve aproximación al sindicato agrario Coldiretti, como promotor de esa iniciativa, y al marco jurídico que la regula. En tercer lugar, se analiza el modo como se desarrolla en el territorio italiano el mencionado proyecto. Por último, se hacen unas consideraciones finales sobre esta experiencia.
