Esta presentación dentifica factores que inciden en la adopción de tecnología e innovación productiva en la citricultura familiar en el municipio de Chajarí, Entre Ríos. Más del 80% de la producción citrícola provincial se concentra en la región NE de Entre Ríos, que es realizada por más de 1600 productores familiares con superficies de 25 ha. El 56% de la producción se destina a mercado interno, 34% a industria y 11% a exportación.
This study aimed to describe the situation of this local breed based on the perceptions and practices of the actors in the sector (including farmers, traders and service suppliers), and to draw perspectives for its future. From the interviews, the Baladi appeared adapted and more resistant to harsh conditions, especially to extreme warm temperatures, feed shortage periods, and some diseases, in particular foot-and-mouth disease.

Crops such as soybean, maize, oil palm, and others are being introduced to supply the world demand for food and energy. However, the current challenge is to enhance the sustainability of these areas by increasing efficiency of production chains and to improve environmental services.
