The private sector’s presence in agricultural advisory services worldwide has been on the increase for over three decades. This trend has also been observed in the Mantaro Valley (Peru), in a context of dairy family farming. The objective of the communication is to analyse the modalities of advisory services privatization and assess the consequences of this privatization for the farmers and their livestock systems. Data were collected through input suppliers, different types of advisers and producers interviews.
The purpose of this paper is to map some elements that can contribute to an IFAD strategy to stimulate and support pro-poor innovations. Innovation is the process whereby individuals or organizations bring new or existing products, processes or ways of organization into use for the first time in a specific context. Innovation in agriculture cuts across all dimensions of the production cycle along the entire value chain - from crop, forestry, fishery or livestock production to the management of inputs and resources to market access. Basé sur la théorie de l'accès, cet article analyse les modes d'accès à la terre des investisseurs et leurs régulations.
Cet étude se fonde sur une expérience récente du développement de filières commerciales approvisionnées par des forêts naturelles de bambou dans les montagnes de la province nord de Huaphan, au Laos. Il illustre comment, dans un régime centralisé à parti unique encore réticent à reconnaître les droits et capacités des villageois et de la société civile à créer leurs propres organisations, il est possible de déboucher sur la construction de nouveaux communs.

Sa publication intervient alors que la production du manioc s’intensifie à l'échelle mondiale, avec une transition des producteurs utilisant les systèmes traditionnels de culture vers la monoculture, vers des génotypes à rendement élevé et vers un recours accru aux produits agrochimiques.
