El presente estudio hizo una investigación de mercado para la empresa de biomasa forestal: Biomass Costa Rica International con el propósito de identificar la demanda potencial y efectiva de energia limpia en compañías, centros turísticos de hospedaje, agro-industrias, industrias en general y/o en organizaciones demandantes de un alto consumo de energía; ofertando biomasa forestal como un servicio limpio, sostenible, que les permita reducir su huella de carbono, así como ahorrar dinero dentro sus actividades de producción/consumo.
En este artículo se brinda el procedimiento para implementar el Modelo de Gestión Tecnológica en la relación universidadempresa estatal ganadera cubana y su validación en el estudio de caso Universidad de Pinar del Río y Empresa Pecuaria Genética Camilo Cienfuegos. El procedimiento constó de cuatro fases, con sus correspondientes pasos (ocho); además, se identificaron 18 indicadores, considerados relevantes para la gestión tecnológica en la relación universidad-empresa, organizados en cuatro dimensiones: retroalimentación institucional, económico-productiva, ambiental y pertinencia social.

WhatsApp sends real-time messages and is one of the world’s most popular communication applications in the 21st century. The present study highlights and examines the domestication of WhatsApp among farmers. An exhaustive whatsapp user list was prepared from each village and 3 farmers were selected with the help of systematic sampling technique. Thus, 90 farmers from the 3 blocks of the district using whatsapp were purposively selected and grouped for sending the messages of agricultural aspects. The study was conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Neemuch during 2016-17.
In order to address food insecurity, the New Green Revolution for Africa (GR4A) promotes tighterintegration of African smallholder farmers, especially women, into formal markets via value chains to improve farmers’ input access and to encourage the sale of crop surpluses. This commentary offers a theoretical and practical critique of the GR4A model, drawing on early findings from a five-year study of value chain initiatives in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mozambique.
Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have become a popular tool for governing rural development in a European context. PPPs are often presented as significant solutions for increasing both the effectiveness (problem-solving capacity) and the legitimacy of sustainable rural governance in terms of participation and accountability. In Sweden, where PPPs have played a marginal role, due to the EU cohesion policy they are now gaining ground as a model for the governance and management of natural resources in rural areas.
Understanding diversity of smallholder farm households is of critical importance for the success of development interventions. Farming households often will devise livelihood strategies that provide the best guarantee for survival and based on their socioeconomic vulnerability. This study examines how achievements from the Integrated Agricultural Research for Development (IAR4D) approach through participation in innovation platform activities accrue to smallholder farming households of diverse socioeconomic status.
In this chapter, it is applied the CGPE model to analyzing the performance of policy processes with respect to the production of efficient policy choices. Within the CGPE approach participation of stakeholder organizations is modeled in two ways. First, as classical lobbying influence and second as informational influence within a model of political belief formation.
