La conférence du programme mondial de SEWOH (Initiative spéciale "Un seul monde sans faim") Programme mondial "Sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle, renforcement de la résilience" au Bénin a été consacrée à la promotion des changes et de la coopération Sud-Sud.
Le projet fait partie de l’initiative spéciale du ministère fédéral allemand de la Coopération économique et du Développement (BMZ) " Un seul monde sans faim". Les projets de ladite initiative spéciale contribuent la réduction de l’extrême pauvreté et la faim par la mise en place, dans le monde, de plusieurs projets globaux touchant différents secteurs. Les thèmes visés sont la sécurité alimentaire, la nutrition et la résilience.
Avec le GIZ Programme Mondial Sécurité Alimentaire et Renforcement de la Résilience, l'Allemagne apporte une contribution significative aux objectifs de développement durable (en particulier la SDG 2 - "faim zéro"). Le programme vise à améliorer durablement la nutrition et la résilience des personnes - en particulier des femmes et des enfants. Pour y parvenir, le Programme Mondial combine des mesures de différents secteurs, par exemple l'agriculture, la santé, la sécurité sociale et le WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene).
Due to political conflict, hundreds of thousands of people had to leave their homes in northern Mali in the last decade. Many have since returned to their home but struggle to regain their livelihoods. In the Timbuktu region, food insecurity is very high and 15 percent of children under 5 years old suffer from acute malnutrition. Goundam, one of the administrative districts of the Timbuktu region, is populated by livestock farmers. Among the previously displaced people, many have lost all their livestock, and with that their traditional means of livelihood.
Women are the backbone of the development of rural and national economies. There is no tool of development that is more effective than the empowerment of the rural women. Nigerian rural women lack sufficient economic resources that will enable them to articulate their needs and interests and organize themselves with a view to developing the nation.

Grâce à la participation de près de 250 experts de tous les coins du monde, le colloque international sur la sécurité alimentaire et la nutrition à l’heure des changements climatiques (ci-après “colloque”) a mis en évidence l’importance des systèmes agricoles et alimentaires dans la lutte contre le changement climatique, et présenté des solutions concrètes et multisectorielles afin de faire face à cet enjeu mondial.
The webinar aims to demonstrate effective institutional and individual capacity development approaches during the formulation and implementation of the NAPs. In addition, examples of practical approaches and tools to assess individual and institutional capacities for National Adaptation Planning will be presented by UNITAR. While country representatives will speak on their experience in carrying out both institutional and individual capacity development, in addition to individual skills assessments.

Equipping agricultural extension and advisory services with nutrition knowledge, competencies and skills is essential to promote nutrition-sensitive agriculture. This report presents the results of an assessment of capacity within agricultural extension and advisory services, undertaken in Telangana State, India, with the global capacity needs assessment (GCNA) methodology developed by FAO and GFRAS.
