This article analyses spatial innovation dispersion and also level of innovation development across the crop sector. For this, five crude indicators viz. Mechanisation indicator, Vulnerability indicator, Concentration indicator, Stability indicator and Adoption indicator were constructed which determined the direction of innovation. Moderated mediation analysis is utilized to measure the direct and indirect effects of trainers’ qualification on learning success and satisfaction. Therefore, the psychological constructs of attitude and perceived control from the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) operate as mediators, subjective norms act as moderator, and gender and age serve as covariates
The aim of this study was to investigate the vulnerabilities of women involved in a bean value chain development intervention at the Maendeloe Innovation Platform in Eastern DRC. Specifically, the paper first discusses the roles of women and men in the value chain, what production resources and benefits they access and control, the role of the IP as a vehicle for women’s empowerment, and identifies women’s gender needs. Secondly, the paper identifies women’s vulnerabilities, and the capacities that the IP could build on, to support their participation in bean value chain development
Este artículo tiene el propósito de argumentar el grado de cohesión social que existe en la Productora de Flores Selectas de Tequexquinahuac SPR, RL, una organización integrada por 20 socios: 17 son hombres y 3 mujeres. La idea central está basada en el interés por conocer elementos que permiten organizar a actores sociales alrededor de un proyecto común; al interior de la organización propician cohesión social.

The goal of this work is to review methodologies to analyze value chains, particularly within the agribusiness sector. The first part of the analysis delves into the value chain concept, with the aim of discovering how the concept has changed from an historical perspective, and what would be an acceptable narrow definition.

Las limitaciones en el manejo de la diversidad agrobiológica en Cuba, debido al déficit financiero, posibilitó una estrategia de fitomejoramiento alternativo y complementario al fitomejoramiento convencional y centralizado. Esta importante forma denominada Fitomejoramiento Participativo (FP), como parte integrante de la innovación agropecuaria local, se inició en el 2000 y después de ocho años de ejecución, los propios campesinos que se sumaron a estas ideas han evaluado su impacto.
En este artículo se evaluó la biodiversidad en fincas en reconversión en dos unidades de producción agropecuaria en la agricultura suburbana de la provincia de La Habana: la Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa (UBPC) 26 de Julio, en Guanabacoa, y la Granja de Monumental, en el Cotorro. La biodiversidad se clasificó en cuatro componentes funcionales: productiva, auxiliar, asociada e introducida.
El Programa de Innovación Agropecuaria Local (PIAL) posee una amplia diseminación de acciones en cientos de fincas, buscando alternativas locales que le den solución a las necesidades de prácticas sostenibles con carácter agroecológico, para ello se hace necesario demostrar la efectividad económica del desarrollo a nivel de finca. Este artículo desarrolo un análisis de costo-beneficio que es una herramienta de toma de decisiones para desarrollar sistemáticamente información útil acerca de los efectos deseables e indispensables.
