Esta publicación pretende ser una guía de referencia para el diseño, ejecución y seguimiento de procesos de identificación de oportunidades y/o de fortalecimiento de emprendimientos incipientes de jóvenes, principalmente rurales o urbanos. Su intención es dotar al usuario de una serie de herramientas y recursos que le permitan adaptar la orientación y el contenido del manual al contexto local en el que se inscribe, y a los recursos y posibilidades del equipo facilitador o de acompañamiento; de manera que puedan diseñar e implementar un ejercicio participativo
Entre 2016 y 2017, la Dirección Nacional de Extensión Agropecuaria (DNEA) de Costa Rica coordinó un proceso de diálogo y consulta dentro de la institución y con otras entidades relacionadas con la extensión y la innovación agropecuaria, con el acompañamiento de la FAO, la CEPAL y consultores asociados a la Red Latinoamericana de Servicios de Extensión Rural (RELASER), para desarrollar un nuevo enfoque de los procesos de acompañamiento técnico y fortalecimiento de capacidades de los productores agropecuarios, con el fin de crear sistemas intensivos en información y conocimiento.
En el primer capítulo de este documento se describe el contexto económico, la producción y los rendimientos históricos, la producción, el comercio mundial del café y los precios. El segundo capítulo analiza la producción de café en la República Dominicana, e incluye secciones sobre la fenología de la planta de café, enfermedades, las características de la producción en la República Dominicana, los sistemas de producción, el sector industrial, el contexto social y ambiental de la producción de café y las políticas regionales y nacionales.

The objectives of this study twofold (i) First to assess farmer's perceptions of IT and secondly (ii) to determine the major factors influencing farmer's adoption decisions. This study offers for policy makers important considerations that could stimulate and sustain adoption of these IT in Tunisian arid agricultural areas. The present study is based on the hypothesis that the farm adoption decision of farmers has no relationship with the type of technology
The objective of this paper is twofold. First, using a three rounds panel data of 7110 households, was investigate the adoption decisions and the complementarities among the four labor-intensive technologies (agricultural extension service, irrigation, soil conservation and planting seeds in a row) and a comprehensive use of four modern inputs (improved seed variates, inorganic fertilizer, pesticides, organic fertilizer) which have been frequently adopted by smallholder farmers.
The study responds to the request by farmers in the Hohoe and Jasikan Rice Innovation Platforms, to identify traders and consumers’ rice preferences to enable them produce rice varieties that meet users’ demands. The study provided strategic guidelines for the development of a marketing and promotional plan for locally produced rice in Ghana. The report is structured as follows: Chapter one introduces the study including the study objectives, design and methodology.
