ICRA is an independent non-profit organization, founded in 1981. ICRA’s goal is to help end poverty and hunger and to promote sustainable resource use, through inclusive innovation partnerships and by the strengthening individual, organizational and institutional capacities required to make these partnerships work. The impact we seek to achieve is improved livelihoods of smallholder farmers and profitable rural agribusiness enterprises. The outcome we seek to achieve is functioning local agribusiness partnerships, which: Improve the effectiveness of agricultural education, research, and advisory services to support local agribusiness partnerships; Bring new agricultural products and organizational practice into economic use at scale; Add value to farming and agribusinesses along the value chain; and Inform policies that support innovation processes and local agribusiness development.
