The purpose of this report is to show how and why scientific understanding of biological and sociocultural (sex-gender) differences between women and men can enhance success of innovation policies that seek to promote socioeconomic advancements through science and technology.
Portia
Portia is an NGO promoting gender equality and the greater appreciation of the gender dimension in Science. Established at Imperial College London in the late nineties, Portia runs a range of projects through partnerships with other related stakeholders all over the world. Portia's work ranges from activites aimed at supporting individuals to overcome gender bias in their careers to supporting international policy development.
