This brief evaluates the needs in order to Albania develop a competitive Fruit and Vegetable market.The fruit and vegetable sector represents 20 percent of Albanian agriculture but contributes 36 percent of its exports and this share is expected to increase. The note posits an idea that as the domestic market for many of these products is saturated, Albanian fruits and vegetables have been gaining ground in the Western Balkans and are well positioned to make headway in the EU-28 market as well.
El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar las redes de financiamiento entre las instituciones de investigación pertenecientes al sistema nacional de investigación agropecuario (SNIA) en México. En 2014 fueron realizadas 164 encuestas a instituciones de educación (IES), centros públicos de investigación (CPI) y empresas o instituciones de investigación privado (SP) que realizan acciones de investigación en el ámbito agropecuario en México. Se utilizó la metodología de redes sociales para analizar y caracterizar la red de financiamiento de las instituciones del SNIA a nivel nacional
El presente trabajo se realizó en el 2008 y tuvo como objetivo determinar las necesidades de investigación en la cadena de alfalfa en Hidalgo. Se utilizó el enfoque de cadenas productivas y además se realizaron las siguientes cinco etapas: i) Caracterización de la cadena, ii) Identificación de los factores críticos, iii) Identificación de las demandas de investigación, iv) Identificación de la Oferta de la investigación, e v) Identificación de las necesidades de investigación
Se consideró pertinente hacer un análisis sobre las principales cadenas productivas del estado de Zacatecas, pensando en el dinamismo y otros factores que pueden modificar la importancia de estas cadenas. En el aspecto metodológico se hizo una jerarquización de las variables de acuerdo a criterios ponderados en cadenas agropecuarias para identificar cuál de estas son estratégicas para Zacatecas. Este estudio consideró solamente dos dimensiones: la importancia socioeconómica y la competitividad.

This report seeks to support the larger jobs study by examining how investment in South Sudan’s food sector can not only address food security needs, it can generate income and lay the foundation for livelihood and job creation in the country. It argues that applying a value chain lens to investments in the sector can contribute to creating direct, indirect, and induced labor in the food system. The goal is to move the country from a dependency on humanitarian aid to building recovery and resilience in the short term in a way that can produce stable jobs over the medium to long term.

Enhancing the efficiency of the central economic corridor (CEC) is vital to Mongolia’s effort to improve trade competitiveness and diversify exports. The role of Mongolia’s economic corridors is best understood when seen as an integral part of the country’s supply chain.
