Este documento tiene como objetivo crear un “mapa” actualizado de la relevancia económica de las distintas cadenas de valor de la producción agroindustrial argentina. El segundo objetivo de este volumen tiene como objetivo cuantificar ⎯valor de producción, valor agregado, empleo y localización⎯ las actividades desarrolladas por una treintena de cadena de valor que cubren la casi totalidad del sector, abarcando los principales insumos, la actividad primaria y la primera etapa de transformación industrial
En este trabajo se presenta la descripción de tres casos: Caprica, Productores de Chihuahua y los Porcicultores, que coordinaron sus esfuerzos para crear empresas integradoras como una estrategia, a través de la cual los miembros -pequeños productores- generan redes de colaboración para asociarse, que los lleva a insertarse en cadenas de valor que buscan mejores condiciones para sus productos, al tiempo que les da valor agregado; al hacerlo, cada una de ellas se encuentra en diferente estado de integración e inserción en las cadenas de valor, lo que les da la oportunidad de encarar los reto

This brochure presents the UNDP approach to supporting capacity development and the policy statements that UNDP supports. These are backed up by ongoing research and analysis of capacity development theory, methods and applications. The services included are examples of capacity development initiatives that can be supported by UNDP or its partners. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar la oferta y demanda tecnológica para plantear alternativas en la innovación de la cadena agroalimentaria de maíz en el estado de Hidalgo, México. Se realizaron las siguientes etapas: 1) caracterización de la cadena; 2) identificación de los factores críticos; 3) distinción de demandas tecnológicas de conocimiento y política; 4) reconocimiento de la oferta tecnológica y 5) cuantificación de proyectos de investigación y política pública.

The purpose of this article is to investigate effective reformism: strategies that innovation networks deploy to create changes in their environment in order to establish a more conducive context for the realization and durable embedding of their innovation projects. Using a case study approach, effective reformism efforts are analyzed in a technological innovation trajectory related to the implementation of a new poultry husbandry system and an organizational innovation trajectory concerning new ways of co-operation among individual farms to establish economies of scale.
The purpose of this issues paper is to provide an overview of the issues, numbers, disputes, and approaches so that contributors to SOW11 can share a common framework and consider how the innovations they describe fit into the larger international discourse. The paper is structured as follows: • Section 2 describes diverse perspectives on food security that emphasize global supply chains to feed middle-class populations in cities; smallholder farmers who still supply much of the world; and smallholder farmers who are relatively disengaged in commercial markets.
