Innovation processes in rural contexts occur in systems that are diverse, coupled with complex challenges. Dealing with complex systems requires an understanding of the social dynamics of actor networks and innovation.This study attempted to provide insights on thecompositional dynamics of actor networks,and how they influenceinteractive learning and innovation among agro-processing enterprises in South Africa. The guiding research questions to help address the study objectives are:What are the structural characteristics of actor networks for innovation in rural contexts?

Agriculture is central to Ethiopian economy but its sustainable development faces enormous challenges. Low innovation capacity, low productivity, dwindling natural resources and climate change, small-scale subsistence farming, and low levels of market integration and value addition have all made agricultural development more complex. Les mutations du secteur agricole bamiléké (Ouest-Cameroun) ont été très importantes depuis le milieu des années 80, marqué par la chute des prix du café, alors principale production du pays Bamiléké, et par la crise économique au Cameroun. Dans cette thèse, le concept de dispositif (Foucault, Moisdon, Maugeri, RIDT-INRA) est l'outil principal d'analyse de ce secteur agricole.

Para revertir la situación de inseguridad alimentaria, el sector agropecuario cubano requiere de inversiones en infraestructuras y de cambios en la gestión e innovaciones que se adapten a las condiciones económicas, ecológicas, sociales y culturales de cada territorio. Ello implica una mejora de las condiciones en los ecosistemas a partir de la generación colectiva de alternativas con base en el intercambio, el apoyo en las alianzas y las experiencias entre los diferentes actores.
Este estudio de caso analizó el proceso de innovación tecnológica en la producción familiar olivícola del departamento Pocito, San Juan, Argentina. El trabajo se basó en un enfoque cuanti-cualitativo, se utilizó como método de investigación el estudio de caso y la unidad de análisis se constituyó por las unidades olivícolas familiares. Las técnicas de recolección de información fueron el análisis documental, la encuesta estructurada, la entrevista en profundidad y la observación directa. Para el análisis de la información se utilizaron estadísticos descriptivos y un análisis multivariado.
