One way to create an innovation system (AIS) is through the formation and utilization of certain innovation configurations known as Multistakeholder Platforms (MSPs) and/or Innovation Platforms (IPs). CGIAR’s Challenge Programs on Water and Food (CPWF) use both MSPs and IPs to bring together a diverse set of relevant stakeholders to address common challenges in river basins globally, and in the Volta River Basin system in West Africa in particular.
The following contents were included in this newsletter (April–June 2014): the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) held a two-day workshop on Engagement of Youth Entrepreneurship for Agricultural Transformation in Africa, from 28-30 May at IITA, Ibadan, Nigeria; cassava processing factory was established at the IITA Kalambo station in DR. Congo; project coordinator visits sites to evaluate project activities in Tanzania; stories on cassava, rice, wheat and maize were detailed.
Women in agriculture are far from the end of poverty, zero hunger, quality education, and gender equality — some of the sustainable development goals that can be significantly improved if we achieve greater participation and better working conditions for women in agriculture.

El presente documento sistematiza los principales hallazgos de la Mesa de Articulación Interinstitucional para el fortalecimiento del sistema territorial de innovación del sector lechero en Boyacá (Colombia), llevada a cabo en la ciudad de Tunja el 12 de mayo de 2022. Este espacio de construcción colectiva que contó con la participación de 50 delegados de la institucionalidad pública, organizaciones de productores, academia y empresas privadas, tuvo como objetivo conocer la oferta de las instituciones del departamento y su agenda 2022 en materia de innovación.
