Les notions de services environnementaux et de services écosystémiques (SE) ont connu un rapide engouement au cours de la dernière décennie et sont à l’origine de nouveaux instruments pour faire face à divers problèmes environnementaux, notamment la déforestation : les dispositifs de Paiements pour Services Environnementaux (PSE). Néanmoins, l’intégration du concept dans les politiques publiques reste un processus rare.
LenCD has prepared a joint statement on results and capacity development (presented in this publication), which stresses that meaningful, sustainable results are premised on proper investments in capacity development and that these results materialize at different levels and at different times, along countries’ development trajectory. La agricultura de América Latina y el Caribe (ALC) se enfrenta a una oportunidad global sin precedentes: satisfacer los patrones de consumo diferenciados y de mayor calidad de 7000 millones de personas en la actualidad y de no menos 9000 millones para el 2050. A esta oportunidad se suma el valor que le brinda la agricultura a las poblaciones rurales, no solo como su fuente alimentaria, sino también como su única o primordial fuente de ingresos. Y son los territorios rurales precisamente los llamados a prepararse, adaptarse y asumir el reto de alimentar al mundo.
El documento trata sobre las áreas de cultivo de frijol y maíz en Centroamérica y República Dominicana. Se abarcan también aspectos relacionados con su consumo, rendimiento, producción, tipo de productores, factores socioeconómicos y se hace uso de estadísticas para brindar la información respectiva.
Esta Política de Estado se sustenta en cuatro ejes temáticos, que hemos convenido en llamar los pilares de la política: a) competitividad; b) innovación y desarrollo tecnológico; c) gestión de los territorios rurales y agricultura familiar; y d) cambio climático y gestión agroambiental. Se adiciona un eje transversal, que indica los principales alineamientos institucionales que se implementarán para hacerla realidad.
Esta tesis tiene el objetivo de analizar la situación actual del mercado de la teca proveniente de Hojancha y Nandayure y las barreras y oportunidades de inserción al mismo, esta investigación analiza los canales que conforman la red y sus márgenes de comercialización tomando en cuenta cada uno de los agentes de la cadena.
The interactions between bottom-up initiatives and top-down structures in the implementation of regional development policies and projects are complex in theoretical and practical terms. Using concepts such as transformative social innovation, adaptive governance, and bridging institutions, we developed an analytical framework to enhance understanding of the processes by which local top-down and bottom-up forces enhance sustainable rural development by co-developing bottom-linked governance.
