This report reviews recent trends in agricultural innovation systems (AIS) and discusses the impact of a wide range of policies on the creation and diffusion of innovation in the agricultural and agrifood sector. It suggests a framework for analysing the role of governments in fostering increased innovation, with a view to helping to identify practical actions that governments could take to improve productivity growth, sustainable use of resources, and resilience to future market developments in national and global agriculture and agri-food systems.
Ce rapport présente l’évolution récente des Systèmes d'innovation agricole (SIA) et examine l’incidence d’une large gamme de politiques sur la création et la diffusion de l’innovation dans le secteur agricole et agroalimentaire. Il propose un cadre pour analyser le rôle des pouvoirs publics dans le renforcement de l’innovation, afin d’aider á identifier des actions concrètes pour améliorer la productivité, l’utilisation durable des ressources et la capacité des systèmes nationaux et mondiaux agricoles et agroalimentaire á s’adapter aux évolutions futures des marchés.
Depuis 2009, l'Union des groupements pour la commercialisation des produits agricoles de la Boucle du Mouhoun, au Burkina Faso, soutenue par ses partenaires techniques et financiers, a mis en place un service de conseil à l'exploitation familiale (CEF) pour ses membres. This guide aims to assist in its implementation through the achievement of responsible gender-equitable governance of land tenure. The guide focuses on equity and on how land tenure can be governed in ways that address the different needs and priorities of women and men.
This guide is organized into six chapters with a summary of key steps at the end of each chapter which can be considered as main highlights. Chapter one gives an introduction and an overview of the sequence of the main agricultural research and extension approaches and their shortcomings and hence the reason for the new innovation systems approaches. The aim of this report is to provide a detailed review of documented social learning processes for climate changeand natural resource managementas described in peer-reviewed literature. Particular focus is on identifying (1) lessons and principles, (2) tools and approaches, (3) evaluation of social learning, as well as (4) concrete examples of impacts that social learning has contributed to.
