The private sector’s presence in agricultural advisory services worldwide has been on the increase for over three decades. This trend has also been observed in the Mantaro Valley (Peru), in a context of dairy family farming. The objective of the communication is to analyse the modalities of advisory services privatization and assess the consequences of this privatization for the farmers and their livestock systems. Data were collected through input suppliers, different types of advisers and producers interviews.

The Agribusiness Linkages Global Development Alliance (GDA) was to contribute to sustainable rural development throughout Egypt by enhancing the capacity of smallholder farmers to profitably serve as reliable suppliers of high-value horticulture to processors and other buyers by integrating 3,000 farmers into a sustainable and competitive high-value horticultural value chain anchored by HEINZ in the governorates of Sohag, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan in Upper Egypt; El Minya and Assiut in Middle Egypt; Beni Suef, Giza and Fayoum in Northern Upper Egypt; and the Nubaria area in lower Egypt.
The overarching mission of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Peanut Productivity & Mycotoxin Control (PMIL) is to apply leading innovative US science to improve peanut production and use, raise nutrition awareness and increase food safety in developing countries. The project works with a range of agricultural technology stakeholders on a regional basis (private sector, research institutions, governments, networks, etc.) to increase food security, reduce poverty, and improve environmental sustainability by facilitating agricultural innovation and technology diffusion in the Asia region.

The Scaling Agricultural Innovations Workshop gathered scaling experts from a range of organizations and agriculture sectors to share their experiences and ideas on the findings and lessons learned from five case studies (hybrid maize in Zambia, irrigated rice in Senegal, Purdue Improved Crop Storage bags in Kenya, agricultural machinery services in Bangladesh, and Kuroiler chickens in Uganda).
El concepto de innovación inclusiva es una alternativa para analizar la innovación desde una perspectiva tanto desde los estudios de la innovación como del desarrollo. Permite acercarse a sectores como los productores agrícolas. En este trabajo se presenta una propuesta de análisis cualitativo, para un grupo de productores cafetaleros de la zona de Plan de Arroyos, Veracruz.
Los enfoques y prácticas de extensión se han transformado notablemente en las últimas décadas. A la vez, numerosos autores han señalado la persistencia de enfoques difusionistas tanto en las instituciones como en las prácticas de los extensionistas. En esta investigación se analizan las prácticas de extensión implementadas en el noreste argentino, se las compara con propuestas institucionales y académicas actuales y se extraen aprendizajes. Para esto se realizaron 40 entrevistas a extensionistas que trabajan en el ámbito público en las provincias de Chaco, Corrientes, Formosa y Misiones.
