Ce document présente la position de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO) et du Forum mondial pour le conseil rural (GFRAS) sur la place actuelle des services de vulgarisation et de conseil agricole et sur les chemins qu’elle devra suivre à l’avenir. Les résultats présentés dans le document sont destinés à mieux situer la vulgarisation compte tenu de l’avenir de la recherche agricole en faveur du développement.
L’objectif de ce guide est de faciliter la planification et la mise en œuvre des
sessions de formation. Il fait partie du cours de Gestion d’entreprises associatives
rurales en agroalimentaire et a été conçu pour les facilitateurs qui possèdent
des connaissances et une expérience en ce qui concerne les aspects techniques de
la formation, mais qui n’ont pas forcément de compétences pédagogiques et qui
n’ont pas d’expérience leur permettant de faciliter le processus d’enseignementapprentissage.
This is the third volume of the proceedings of the national conference on "Water for Food and Environment", which was held from June 9 -11, 2009 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). The volumes 1 and 2 have been produced as separate documents of this report series. In response to a call for abstracts, 81 abstracts were received from government institutes dealing with water resources and agriculture development, universities, other freelance researchers and researchers from the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
This paper presents an overview of current opportunities and challenges facing efforts to increase the impact of rural and agricultural extension. Research results and FAO National Aquaculture Sector Overview (NASO) fact sheets show that female participation rates vary by type and scale of enterprise and country. Women are frequently active in hatcheries and dominate fish processing plant labourers. Women’s work in small-scale aquaculture frequently is unrecognized, under or unpaid. Most aquaculture development projects are not gender sensitive, and aquaculture success stories often do not report gender dimensions; projects can fail if their designs do not include gender.
