Depuis une dizaine d’années, SOS Faim développe avec ses partenaires latino-américains, une nouvelle stratégie pour endiguer la pauvreté rurale : le développement territorial rural (DTR). On peut définir le DTR comme étant une dynamique d’animation et de concertation entre acteurs publics et privés (entre autres les Organisations Paysannes) sur un territoire donné, en vue d’améliorer durablement les conditions économiques et sociales de sa population.
El objetivo de este estudio fue describir el tipo de cadena apícola que existe en el municipio, en un proceso de análisis que integrara la gobernanza y los efectos del cambio climático. Se tomaron como base los factores sociales, económicos y productivos con el propósito de generar información para el diseño de recomendaciones en futuras intervenciones institucionales en el sector que permitan identificar estrategias para que los apicultores mejoren la actividad y sea resiliente.
This is the final report of the fifth regional consultative forum meeting of the Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC) convened in Hyderabad, India from 19 to 21 June 2014. It was attended by 85 participants from 17 countries and 28 national, regional and inter governmental partner organizations and projects. Forum participants came to the meeting to develop and reach consensus on ways of implementing policies and action plans designed to address the major challenges confronting the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in the region.
El objeto de esta investigación es aproximarse a una construcción teórica que permita entender la asimilación del conocimiento popular desde la función de extensión universitaria, ofreciendo la posibilidad de rescatar su valor como forma válida del saber. Para ello, se exploró la evolución de la extensión universitaria y del conocimiento popular, desde una perspectiva real, procediéndose seguidamente a identificar los elementos presentes y sus respectivas relaciones de interdependencia, en un plano teórico.
Since 2017, in line with COAG’s recommendation, the Research and Extension Unit engaged in the development of a participatory AIS assessment framework including a customizable toolbox for countries with a totally new capacity development perspective. The assessment framework is meant for actors of the national agricultural innovation systems, i.e.
Agricultural development interventions tend to favour men. Women do most of the work and receive fewer benefits. A starting point is to assess gender capacities to give momentum to the implementation of strategic interventions responding to the needs of both men and women. The gender capacity assessment tool is participatory; the process can be seen as a gender sensitization activity for partners; it helps to generate useful data for M&E of gender capacity development interventions; It provides the opportunity to design a strategic gender capacity development intervention.
The working paper presents a new toolkit for the implementation of a participatory vulnerability assessment (PVA) in rural localities, by introducing the methodology, as well as the findings, from a pilot study in Sokoine (Zepisa, Hombolo Ward) in Tanzania. TAP and its partners carried out regional surveys in Asia, Africa and Central America to assess priorities, capacities and needs in national agricultural innovation systems. This document provides a Regional synthesis report on capacity needs assessment for agricultural innovation in Africa. FARA was selected as Recipient Organization by FAO to facilitate TAP implementation in Africa. This is mainly due to its position as the umbrella organization bringing together and forming coalitions of major regional stakeholders in agricultural research and development.
