The massive influence of globalization raises demands in many ways, including agriculture. This widespread aspect in Indonesia, which is touted as an agrarian country, is related to the production, distribution and processing of agricultural products. The combination of entrepreneurship that manages agriculture is expected to be able to bring Indonesia to become a more developed country and able to rise from adversity. Previously agriculture was only interpreted in a narrow scope.
In terms of macroeconomic and geopolitical instability, in order to increase the competitiveness of agro-food complex of the Russian Federation in world food markets, a scientifically based choice of institutional solutions is required to increase innovative activity in the agricultural sector and to ensure the transfer of technologies used in industries related to agriculture.
Esta tesis presenta el desarrollo del Proyecto de Diagnóstico Comunicacional Estratégico para el programa ProHuerta en la Provincia de Córdoba. Integran el marco conceptual y metodológico, las nociones de complejidad, como paradigma superador de las visiones segmenteadas y disciplinares de hacer ciencia, al enfoque estratégico como superador de la visión de la comunicación reducida a su dimensión informacional, y las nociones de situado y fluido para interpelar las dinámicas propias de la promoción de la seguridad alimentaria.
The purpose of this report is to provide some of the groundwork in answering the question of how the CGIAR system and other public agricultural research organisations should adapt and respond to an era of transformation framed by the SDGs. It does this by exploring the way in which this transformation agenda reframes agricultural research and innovation.
This document is accompanyng the volume Public Agricultural Research in an Era of Transformation: The Challenge of Agri-Food System Innovation (available in TAPipedia here), which provides some of the groundwork in answering the question of how the CGIAR system and other public agricultural research organisations should adapt and respond to an era of transformation framed by the SDGs.
The final report outlines key outputs and outcomes of the implemented activities between 7 April 2015 and 6 April 2019 including review of the seed sector in Afghanistan; development of legal, managerial and technical documents for Public-Private-Producers Partnership (PPPP) model in seed sector, revitalization of seed testing laboratories, capacity building of stakeholders and awareness raising among stakeholders. The project was initiated in 2015 with a brainstorming workshop to create awareness about the PPPP concept among stakeholders and document their suggestions.
Despite efforts over recent years to improve the status of agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa, little change has been noted, due partially to the fact that efforts have come from individual entities, which had short-term funding or lacked the necessary expertise to scale up research outputs. Disconnect between researchers and end-users has further hindered the success of such efforts.
Agriculture is an important type of land use but suffers from drought, especially under global climate change scenarios. Although government is a major actor in helping farmers to adapt to drought, lack of funds has constrained its efforts. Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mechanism has been widely applied in urban infrastructure development to raise fund for public goods and services, but very few studies explored its role in rural areas.
In Bangladesh, IFPRI has received support from USAID through its Policy Research and Strategy Support Program in Bangladesh (PRSSP) to work in the geographic areas targeted by Feed the Future interventions (known as the Zone of Influence) to construct this new WEAI4VC module.
