CBCMP II is aimed at strengthening the human and institutional capacity of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL). It also includes strengthening the linkages between MAIL, Provincial Directorates of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and District Agriculture Offices.The primary objective is focused on improving the ministry’s institutional capacity by providing formal trainings and on the job training (coaching and mentoring) to civil servants in the target locations.

Expected users include field-based rural advisors, extension managers and programme planners.
The New Extensionist is a global view of extension and advisory services (EAS) that reinvents and clearly articulates the role of EAS in the rapidly-changing rural context. It argues for an expanded role for EAS within agricultural innovation systems (AIS) and development of new capacities at different levels to play this role.
Following their first formation in Indonesia over 25 years ago, Farmer Field Schools (FFS) have served as a “proof of concept” of how transformative learning can help governments, donors and development stakeholders achieve development objectives. The FFS approach, which has now been used in more than 90 countries by more than 12 million small farmers (FAO, 2016), not only creates a space in which the practical needs of smallholders to solve production-related issues can be addressed but also fosters personal and community-level transformation through empowerment.
The Webinar with Universities on Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation - Bringing System-wide Change in Asia-Pacific took place on 16 November 2017, 13:00hrs (CET) under the Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP) hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) organized and moderated the webinar, with support from FAO, the Global Confederation of Higher Education Associations for Agricultural and Life Sciences (GCHERA) and Global Forum for Agricultural Research (GFAR).

Cet article s'intéresse particulièrement aux conséquences des "Plateformes d'Innovation Banane Plantain" (PIP) dans la réorientation des choix technologiques locaux. Il interroge leurs résultats sur l'amélioration de l'indépendance alimentaire.

Caja de Herramientas Metodológicas PRIICA/PIAF tiene como objetivo es brindar a los técnicos y productores líderes un instrumento útil que fortalezca sus competencias y habilidades para generar y potenciar procesos de desarrollo de nuevos conocimientos en conjunto con los productores y productoras de agricultura familiar, en el marco de los procesos de investigación y validación tecnológica.
