El estudio realizado en el año 2007, tuvo como objetivo: identificar el grado de estructuración de los sistemas productivos, de ovinos y analizar las principales características de comunicación y coordinación que presentan los actores económicos dentro del eslabón de producción en 5 comunidades de Chignahuapan, Puebla.
El crédito representa un insumo fundamental para la producción, cuya principal limitante es el crecimiento de las carteras vencidas; la calidad de las carteras está estrechamente relacionada con la de los proyectos utilizados para generarlas. En este trabajo se investigó la calidad con que fue elaborada, una muestra no probabilística de 213 proyectos de bovinos de carne en sus diferentes modalidades, a los que se les concedió crédito durante tres años consecutivos por una institución financiera
El presente trabajo analiza la pobreza de mujeres indígenas de la Sierra Negra de Puebla, así como el desarrollo de capacidades en ellas a partir de su participación en la "Sociedad de Productores Indígenas Ecológicos Sierra Negra Sociedad Civil" (SPIESN, S. C.). La metodología utilizada fue cuanti-cualitativa: una encuesta, ocho entrevistas a profundidad, tres talleres participativos y observación participante.

This paper traces the evolution of the innovation systems framework within the agricultural sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, and presents a conceptual framework for agricultural innovation systems. The difference between innovation ecology/ecosystems and intervention-based innovations systems is highlighted, given that these two concepts are used at different levels in promoting and sustaining agricultural innovations.
This paper presents findings of an explorative case study that looked at 22 organisations identified as fulfilling an intermediary role in the Kenyan agricultural sector. The results show that these organisations fulfill functions that are not limited to distribution of knowledge and putting it into use. The functions also include fostering integration and interaction among the diverse actors engaged in innovation networks and working on technological, organisational and institutional innovation.
This paper examines how the different institutional innovations arising from various permutations of linkages and interactions of ARD organizations (national, international advanced agricultural research centres and universities) influenced the different outcomes in addressing identified ARD problems.
The Nile Basin Development Challenge (Nile BDC) is funded by the CGIAR Challenge Program on Water and Food (CPWF) to improve the resilience of rural livelihoods in the Ethiopian highlands through a landscape approach to rainwater management. The first project of the Program reviewed past research and development experiences with sustainable land and water management in Ethiopia. This brief summarizes key points from the study, which approached the subject from a broadly historical perspective, tracing changes in policies and strategies from the 1970s to the present.
