El segundo capítulo analiza la producción de café en la República Dominicana, e incluye secciones sobre la fenología de la planta de café, enfermedades, las características de la producción en la República Dominicana, los sistemas de producción, el sector industrial, el contexto social y ambiental de la producción de café y las políticas regionales y nacionales.

This report assesses the impact of participation in farmer organizations (FOs) on food security of rural households in Cambodia. The study is particularly set out to following: (1) examine FOs’ roles and operation and challenges for improving household’s food security; (2) analyze household’s characteristics that determine participation in FOs; (3) assess the impact of FOs on food security and livelihood of the rural poor; and (4) provide specific recommendations for changes in relevant legal acts and regulatory frameworks associated with FOs.
This report seeks to understand the successes, challenges and opportunities of Cambodia’s agricultural transformation over the past decade to derive lessons and insights on how to maintain future agricultural growth, and particularly on the government’s role in facilitating it. The first phase in the development of the Common Framework on Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation systems (CD for AIS) consisted of the review of the existing literature, building up a repository of relevant documentation on agricultural innovation in general and AIS and CD for AIS. This report summarizes this first phase. In particular, Section 1 covers this brief introduction. Sections two and three focus on the review of relevant literature, presenting the methodology used and the structure of the repository itself.
This report highlights the outcome of the Business and Enterprise training workshop conducted for pig farmers under the Kyanamukaaka-Kabonera pig cooperative in Masaka district. The training took place from 26th to 28th August 2015 at St.Paul Primary School in Bukunda, Masaka district. The report contains information about workshop preparations, objectives, methodology, key events of the training, participants’ evaluation of the workshop, summary of conclusion and recommendations. Se utilizaron métodos de investigación cualitativos como observación, entrevistas abiertas semiestructuradas y grupos focales. Los métodos de investigación cualitativos apuntan a reconocer a las personas como sujetos de investigación y no objetos, valorando sus saberes, vivencias, experiencias. Así mismo, consideran la subjetividad e identidades para la transformación-cultural-evolutiva, que se precisa para llegar a la equidad e igualdad de género.
